Loads missing, just do a top 100 imo.

The ones that come to mind:

Schar vs PSG

Longstaff's second in the 22/23 LC semi against Southampton. Amazing link up play with Joelinton, Willock, Almiron, Longstaff.

Bruno's first goal, the instinctive backheel volley vs Southampton away.

Loads of Cole and Beardsley ones from 93

-95, the chipped one-two, the Cole lob, Beardsley being silly vs Villa, Beardsley vs Palace away Etc

A few 95/96 team goals

Solano vs Birmingham 02/03 away. Brilliant one touch counter attacking team goal.

Gordon vs Barcelona should be in these lists soon.

More Cisse goals, his first vs Chelsea, his first altogether, vs Swansea, header vs Liverpool.

Wilson vs Forest at home.

Ben Arfa on his weak foot vs Villa.

There's a goal I've tried to find on YouTube but couldn't - maybe someone can help me with it?

It's a Liam O'Brien free kick in the old second division that went like an exocet. I could have sworn it was his goal in the 5-4 defeat down at Filbert Street in 90/91(?) but when I found that game online I must have mis-remembered as it wasn't there. 99% sure it was at Leicester but could be wrong.

We were in the seats behind the goal he scored the free kick in amongst the home fans which was interesting to say the least. Had 4 lunatic Leicester fans behind us who quickly sussed out we were Geordies. They all ended up getting kicked out. Then O'Brien scored and half the stand jumped up celebrating [emoji38]

We lost 2-1. We'd lost 1-0 to Grimsby the week before to end our 11/11 winning start to the season. I actually just started reading Liam O'Brien's autobiography today. It's canny.

I think it's the sweetest hit of a football by an NUFC player in my lifetime. Straight above the keeper but there was no stopping it. The way he addressed the ball it was like it was pre-ordained and there was going to be no stopping it.

Martins at Spurs probably the closest for raw power.

That end (terrace and seats) was gnarly as f**k and there was tension in the air that afternoon. If we didn't take so many away I'd not have fancied it.

We were in the seats on the side (front row) and I remember their mascot going around and throwing walkers crisps into the stands but phoning it in passing the Newcastle sections, got some stick for it and started giving some out only for most to get hurled straight back at it.  And coming out the ground with our fans in the terrace behind the goal chanting at us "rip the seats ouit for the lads".

Nice homages to the previous seasons game.

Kinda have to distinguish between “technically brilliant” goals and “big moments” goals. e.g. Cisse’s inside-out volley vs. Chelsea the former and Burn’s header in the cup final the latter.

Burn’s header could arguably go under both. Tiote vs. Arsenal too.

Tried doing a list of this ages ago but got a bit bogged down listing and placing every half decent goal for a top 100//1000. Wondering if some okay goal in 91/92 was better or worse than some okay goal in 97/98.

Found the doc, the sort of thing I mean - the bottom four entries were:

Carl Cort Newcastle v West Ham 00/01 (Solano cross)

Alan Shearer Chelsea v Newcastle 96/97

Robbie Elliott Newcastle v Coventry 96/97

Rob McDonald Watford v Newcastle 88/89 Simod

Shearer v Everton was top. Cisse at Chelsea inserted into second as its the only goal since 03/04 noted.
