Benwell Lad
Isn't it too early to say if people are ignoring UEFA's rules? They aren't even fully in force yet, are they? ...and they won't be as long as it suits people like Platini to have things the way they are. Its a bit like EU rules...some countries(France, anyone..!?) ignore them at will whilst UK Civil Servant Mandarins gold-plate them and ensure the UK gets fined if it ignores them. Why would UEFA be any different..? funny, but with more than a hint of truth, and let's not get started on Greece etc.

Mole_Toonfan
Bloke on Sky was saying if clubs record a loss of over 105m over next 3 years they will dealt with a points deduction penalty. They didn't go into how much though, there's also been reports of a wage cap but can't say I have seen that confirmed yet.
jdckelly
105m over 3 years? Why is that so ridiculously high compared to UEFA's 13m
Mole_Toonfan
105m over 3 years? Why is that so ridiculously high compared to UEFA's 13m Premier League But seriously, I suppose they are just trying to prevent future City's and Chelsea's coming in and spending -90m net a season and having no repercussions. ATB
£103m seems ridiculous and of course there will be ways around it, it always will, but is the best way to just ignore it? It would be like stop taking doping controls because there will always be cheaters that comes up with new ways. It´s the right, and only way to go, but as always it´s ridiculously limits. Tiresias
To be fair isn't the rule that you can't be eligible for europe unless you're making a net profit? 105m is ridiculous mind. Half that at most.
Mole_Toonfan
I dare say this is worse than nothing at all. Exactly, might as well have not even bothered.

jdckelly
3 years of consecutive record breaking financial losses and you'll be docked 3 points I'm sure Abramovich will be shaking in his boots
Tiresias
3 years of consecutive record breaking financial losses and you'll be docked 3 points It's all just so the clubs can say they're being responsible when they monstrably are not. They need to reign in the spending to prevent clubs spending themselves to death and the cost to fans spiralling upwards. This is an insult to fans intelligence. S.S.R.
That total overspend is more than some of the clubs are worth
leffe186
I'm guessing that they've ended up at this ludicrous fudge because they had to get the comedy clubs on board. What a waste of time and effort.
Geordie Ahmed
So you can have £35mill losses each season, I wonder how many clubs have exceeded before?

jdckelly
the curious bit is the wage increase restrictions, only allowed a 4m annual increase in wage spend next season if you spend over 52m plus already
