JH
I'm so relieved he realised the necessity to win this game. Yup, and you can tell by his celebration, which although probably a bit deliberately OTT, that it was a really vital win as well.
ElDiablo
One dodgy change (Shola) that turned out ok in hindsight, one good positive sub. We were obviously flagging the last 20 minutes but we kept at them and looked solid enough. Can't complain at all with 4 first teamers out and losing Santon early. Shows to a certain degree that this injuries stuff is smoke and mirrors. Yeah, setting up with a positive mindset (we had to win really so he was forced into it) and we look decent and were unlucky not to score at least another. A couple of additions with the continuation of that mindset and we could be a real force. We can only hope he sees this.
J7
Lucky boy Pardew today. It was pretty poor again.
TRon
I'm just glad he finally put out a starting 11 without two defensive midfielders for once. Although the fact it took him this long is hardly a ringing endorsement.
High Five o
Lucky boy Pardew today. It was pretty poor again. Poor, unlucky your choice. Tbf to Pardew, did not do much wrong today, we could simply not score until 93 min. I do not like Pardew as a manager, but today i will not criticize him. Maybe just for the Shola sub, just a little bit for that yeah.
Hughesy
What team does he put out for Benfica now?
Dave
Played okay today IMO, another day it would have been far more comfortable. Went for the win and eventually got it, and we were deserved winners too. Loved that reaction like.
Dave
What team does he put out for Benfica now? If we'd not won today I think he'd have been justified in making wholesale changes.

Guest neesy111
Why couldn't we play the first half like the second? Crowd really helped in the second half, we were pushing them way back. Tactics.
BottledDog
Lucky boy Pardew today. It was pretty poor again. There was absolutely fuck all lucky about the win. 'Lucky boy'. What patronising horse shit.
AlanSkÃrare
He's shit, we can do a lot better, this season has been abysmal and most of it his fault. I still want to like him and I'm happy for him today. We played some decent stuff today and on Thursday. Keep it up and he can start regaining my confidence again. Big, big win today. Guest neesy111
The fact we are relying on a lot of last minute winners recently tells it own story about how shit we are until we have to go for the win.
Gallowgate Toon
Great intent second half, we should be looking to do that far more at home.

JH
One thing that is slightly annoying is the constant mention of the Europa League in every interview as if it's terrible we're in the competition.

Never felt they were in it bar that scramble. The onus was on us to score. I get the feeling they'd have been delighted with the point.
