Says he feels like he now has a good enough team to go and attack Chelsea, whereas at other times this year he's felt there's been a lack of fire power to set out to attack. We'll see how he goes about it, he's got history with eking out a win to build momentum. See Norwich last year.

What does the even mean?

?

Not at you, the illiterate one with his standard riposte.

I'm sure there's a few things Pards isn't getting right but the way some people go about bashing him is a bit ridic.

Pre-match: he'll fuck this up by starting Shola and Jonas

Half-time: Villa have been really shit (ignores team selection)

Second-half: what the fuck are these tactics/subs (ignores the fact that Villa aren't as shit)

Full-time: won in spite of him, he's wank, get him sacked.

A lot of the criticisms are genuine and need to be addressed (one game with a 'squad' and a win) but there are people deliberately positioning themselves to give the players all of the credit and the manager all of the abuse to maintain their 'stance'.

Haven't seem this much vitriol towards a winning manager for a long time. Seems odd.

Winning fucking manager.  Glenn Roeder has a better win percentage ffs.

3 wins in 19.

Set the worst ever club away record in all competition.

Never came back from behind in the league to win

16 months since last goal from a corner.

I asked these questions week ago to which you never answered back since you completely ignore facts and just on what agenda you have, hence why your view of everything is so narrow-minded and pathetic.

Dear Michael (there's a theme here),

You haven't proposed any questions. Just hurled further abuse.

Kind regards,

Stu

Well, it appears your gripe is with the people running the club - if you're right about Pardew being out of his depth, then he's unlikely to relinquish the role voluntarily, especially if it's leading to him getting professional accolades and recognition in spite of his shortcomings.

He's won the same professional accolades as Joe Kinnear and George Burley, would you want one of them running the club because of that?

Indeed, like the wins we eked out over Norwich and QPR this year that sent us on big runs.

I meant as in he seems to like grinding out a result after a hard run and then releases the shackles a bit. I don't think it's how he should go about stuff but that seems to be his usual style in these circumstances.

As did I; he ground out a result in both those games, and then we lost another load more each time round.

  "professional accolades"

Stu takes his craft seriously at least O0

Did he or did he not?

The point isn't about whether or not he deserved them, but if he's genuinely incompetent for the job (as Mick vociferously asserts), then why would he even consider resigning from the role that has allowed him to be richly rewarded for other people's efforts?

In that instance, the only change we'll see is if the people running the club accept that Pardew isn't good enough and replace him - so Mick's complaint should be aimed at them.

Do you think Pardew is doing a good job?

Pardew really is an awful manager, the only thing worse than his tactical ineptness which we saw in the second half today, is his cowardice. We might not get relegated, with this squad we certainly shouldn't, though it will probably be close. However there is really nothing to look forward to with this clown in charge, no specific style of football, no going after a game and trying to thrash the opposition, just more of what we saw in the second half today. A bunch of fairly talented football players, hoofing the ball absolutely anywhere with no confidence gained (none installed by the manager anyhow) that they were so much better than Villa in the first half that all they had to do was continue to play the way they had been.

The point about Joe kinnear was well made....given our owner was the one who gave that dinosaur a job too.

Pardew suits Ashley's level of ambition perfectly. If you're looking for a better manager you best look for a better owner first.

Pardew blamed for the second half but not praised for the first half.

The inconsistency of an agenda laid bare right there.

Doesn't mean we can't hold Pardew to account though.
