Ted Maul
God that was fucking shite. Ben Arfa needs to get involved for the sake of my Fantasy team too.
themanupstairs
We've been rubbish for the most part. Last few minutes were a bit better. Need Ben Arfa on the ball much much much more, especially with Al Ahmadi booked.
Flip
4-3-3 is a must. Isnt Anita left footed too?
Hanshithispantz
Anita playing well as a FB like If he's going back to the bench when Tiote comes back then we may as well just keep him there.
Dyeyzzon
European hangover.
Big Geordie
Aye - not good. Lacking fluidity and ideas. Need a rocket up the arse at HT, because Villa are nout flash. I don't buy this being tired from Thursday as not many of them played and are we seriously getting to the point where professional footballers can't play 3 games inside a week? Beren
Utterly predictable tbh. Played 4-4-2, played shit. Pardew needs a slap. If you find yourself having to revert to 4-3-3 every fucking game, surely that should tell you something? Third game in a row Lambert has comprehensively beasted Pardew with a considerably inferior team.
Decky
That first half and the game on Thursday man. What's happened to our players?
Ritchie
Give them all a bollocking.
Pilko
This is really really poor.
Super Duper Branko Strupar
Very disjointed, no fluidity, Ba and Cisse stifled by always being around 2 centre backs, Cabaye poor, Santon's attacking is poor, Jonas poorer, HBA our only positive. Alberto2005
We're losing to these set of cunts? They're so bad.
aussiemag
Positives: Santon and Bigi looking really good Negatives: Cabaye is off-pace and anonymous again, Jonas is giving the ball away far too much, Ba and Cisse not involved in the link up enough
Dave
Maybe Villa aren't as bad as we thought, and maybe we're not as good as we thought. Still to put together a sustained period of meaningful attacking play this season IMO.
Mikky
Ba and Cisse are getting on my nerves: can't control anything: Jonas is doing nothing except trying to take everyone on: really poor against an ordinary side 4-3-3 please
chicago_shearer
Fucking shit half. Pretty good link up play followed by a dog turd of a cross. Getting sick of it.
Guest Phil K
Villa are poor, yet holding Newcastle with relative ease. Which doesn't say much for us.
Jayson
Cabaye is our main playmaker, if hes not involved that tells you a lot. We cant find our strikers otherwise.
Dyeyzzon
3-1 prediction with second half comeback still on the cards. Make it happen, lads.
tmonkey
Cabaye needs to calm down when it comes to constantly trying to find Ba/Cisse from deep in midfield. They're both hopeless at dealing with those types of balls.
BleedsBlackAndWhite
Only decent thing of that half was the Raylor over the wall tops.
Memphis
First 35 minutes were abysmal. Last 10 were better. Not surprising the change coincided with a better ball-playing RB and a formation change. Not signing Debuchy looks brilliant now that two FBs look to be out with injury. Was shifting the 18 year old Bigi (who has actually looked good, fair play to him) into the side this early really part of the plan? Clearly Cabaye-Anita as an engine room didn't work. Not sure Cabaye-Tiote would have either given Cabaye's lacklustre play. Orthodox 4-4-2 doesn't suit us and probably never will with the best XI we can put out there. Pardew's got a lot of work on to save this match.
Mistle17
What a load of fucking bollocks. Why cant we ever have two competent full backs at this club? Despite the scoreline Villa are so poor, but we're making them look so comfortable. Thank God Simpson's gone, now lets kick on and get something out of this awful game so far. Get Ben Arfa and Yohan more involved is a must.
The Prophet
We've been alright on the ball but when we've got it out wide or generally needed a killer ball it hasn't come about.
