Beren
Bordeaux manager saying we're a class above the rest in our group and that it's between themselves and Bruges for 2nd. An old quote, isn't that?

Karjala
Tavernier, Marveux, Amalfitano and Abeid all played 90mins tonight, if that will have any bearing on Thursdays line up?
Guest BooBoo
Don't think any of that four will be in the starting eleven. I reckon we'll be pretty strong for this one.
Ameritoon
I would guess we'll be seeing Sammy since he didn't play tonight. At least on the bench.

binnsy
Tavernier was excellent tonight for the reserves and think he may have played himself into the team on Thursday night, Marveaux may have played himself out of it, he was neat and tidy but his work rate, awareness and slowing the play down didn't go down well with Stone and Carver who were watching. Tend to agree. I reckon we'll see weaker teams when we're away, like we did vs. Maritimo.

Yorkie
-------------------------------- Elliot -------------------------------- Simpson ---------- Perch ----------- Colo ----------- Ferguson ----------- Cabaye ---------- Tiote ---------- Anita -------------- -- Cisse -------------------- Ameobi ----------------- Obertan -- Subs: Krul, Tavernier, Williamson, Bigi, Marveaux, Sammy, Ba Same as Bordeaux, basically, but with Colo in there to get some minutes under his belt. Having said that, i wouldn't complain a great deal if Williamson was preferred. Win this game and we're well en route to qualify from the group, with a shit Maritimo still left to play at SJP. So play a strong side that's set out to win the match comfortably, like the last one, and we can maybe take the foot off the gas. The next league game is at home; it's not a Maritimo (a)/Chelsea (a) situation, so there's no fatigue excuses to prevent us playing a strong side. Mole_Toonfan
Really loved watching the Cabaye-Tiote-Anita trio against Bordeaux would love to see it again tbh. Although i would like to see Tav instead of Simpson purely because if Cisse is on the right it would be good for a fullback that can provide a bit of width when Cisse goes inside. That and Simpson has played a few games recently.

Ishmael
Just brought myself tickets for this. It will be my first competitive game since we drew 0-0 with Stoke in the FA cup a few years back. A mixture of shame and excitement.

AlanSkÃrare
Swedes - what is Martin Hansson like? He's refereeing this. Decent enough. Missed that blatant Henry handball against Ireland but not major controversies other than that. Seems like a genuine guy.
Wallsendmag
What are the usual turnstyle numbers that you can pay on night? Wondering if its worth reserving a decent seat and picking up at box office. Fans can pay on the gate for Newcastle's Europa League Group D home game against Club Brugge on Thursday - but they are urged to arrive in good time. The match kicks off at 8.05pm and from 6.30pm, cash-only turnstiles will be in operation with prices set at £15 for adults and £5 concessions. The following turnstiles have been allocated: Sir John Hall West Corner Level 2: 10/11/12 Sir John Hall East Corner: 33/34/37/38 Gallowgate Upper: 66/67 Gallowgate West Corner: 71/72/73 Meanwhile, South Stand collections on the concourse above Shearer's Bar will open from 3.30pm on Thursday, but supporters are advised to arrive early whether collecting or buying tickets as the Club envisage high demand.
