NG32
Never seen the lad play, from what I have read he can play on the flank and through the middle, whats he like strength wise??
Mole_Toonfan
How quick is he? Can someone give a comparison? Walcott quick, well he was before his injuries i don't know if he has lost speed or anything hopefully not. According to his coach, he's back to his previous physical levels. if he performs like he can, its took us about 8 years but i think we might have finally replaced Bellamy
TBG
Never seen the lad play, from what I have read he can play on the flank and through the middle, whats he like strength wise?? In between Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior.
nufc4eva
So in our first 11 we will have - 2 dutch internationals - 1 Argentina internationals - 1 Italian international - 1 Ivory coast international - 4 french internationals - 1 Senegal international and just Willo to replace with someone proper - not bad ( I know Anita / Santon not regulars/in team at moment)

toontownman
Surely obafemi was quicker than Bellamy, close call though. Never seen anyone as quick as martins.
Fenham Mag
Surely obafemi was quicker than Bellamy, close call though. Never seen anyone as quick as martins. He couldn't run that fast with the ball though.

Skeletor
Martins was the quickest but like Obertan he looked slower with the ball.
Guest Open_C
You know, France wouldn't need to worry about meaningless international friendlies if the whole squad and manager were playing together every week. I'm sure they'll see the sound logic in this and Deschamps and the rest will be on their way soon
Cajun
Surely obafemi was quicker than Bellamy, close call though. Never seen anyone as quick as martins. Bellamy could use that pace to good effect though.
toontownman
Fair play. Martins speed chasing and closing down was scary.
Ronaldo
Martins was far quicker off the ball but Bellamy was far quicker on it.

Guest Open_C
Martins was far quicker off the ball but Bellamy was far quicker on it. Aye, and Bellamy was also a good deal more consistent on it. Still miss the twisty-faced whining little no-necked fucker, to this day.
Superior Acuña
I particularly remember a goal Bellamy scored in that 5-1 against Blackburn when it was only 2-1 with something like 5 mins to go. Unbelievable - lightning.
Klaus
Bellamy was quality when he was here like, why did fucking Souness have to fall out with nearly all of our best players at the time

AlanSkÃrare
Bellamy's paciest moment was when we counter-attacked Everton in that 3-1 win at Goodison in 2001/02. He flew past everyone, squared it to Robert who squared it to Acuna. Perfection.
Tooj
Remember Martins' sprint when he got substituted against Everton?
Gallowgate Toon
He might not start scoring straight away but he's an infinitely better attacker than Jonas and Obertan, and that will be a massive plus to us. He's a good footballer, hence why he's so versatile, he can dribble, shoot, pass and as has been mentioned, he has tremendous pace. His biggest asset however, is his excellent movement. I assume he'll play as a left forward and we'll see an immediate difference as he's very direct. I'm sick of watching our wide men not making bursts off the ball, it's a major thing lacking in our game but Remy will bring that, he's got a good brain. Like I said, I don't know if he'll start banging them in straight away, but he will make a massive difference to our chance creation, I really hope this goes through.
