If his heart problem was ever going to be a problem he wouldn't be playing football.

Tell that to some of the families of the players that we've lost recently due to heart problems.  :idiot2:

Aren't the players who normally go down with heart problems normally suffering from undetected conditions?

I would imagine if it's a known issue it's a lot safer to monitor/stop them playing.

And those were undetected.

If his heart problem was ever a problem then he wouldn't be allowed to play professional football, that is even if he could manage it.

Exactly and when OM signed him, he went through a mass of tests and was given the all clear.

Want a midfielder who can win alot in the air and drive us forward. And a centre Half.  Make that two if Colo goes.

This. Sissokho or M'Vila would be class. Looks like we have enquired about both. If Mbwia is interested he surely makes perfect sense. Captain material, can play all across the back and would cost the same if not less than bloody Tompkins.

M'Vila looks more likely to be QPR bound, can't see us paying out another 8 mill.

Why would anyone go to QPR.

You may be confusing detected and not previously detected conditions. Detected heart problems are generally fine and can be worked around. The tragic losses you may be referring to where seemingly fit young people (including professional athletes) have sudden problems, are normally previously undetected conditions.

He's going to be sharing a post-match bath with Cabaye and Debuchy. Hope they've got defibrilators in the dressing room.

I had the horror of watching a teammate have a heart attack and die on the pitch. To see the colour drain from someone, so they turn grey in seconds is something you can never forget, but as bad as that was the worse thing was his 16 year old son was paying for us too.

I'd consider it if it was a West Ham / Demba Ba-esque contract.

Ie bucketloads of money and a free transfer clause if they go down.

How quick is he? Can someone give a comparison?

Walcott quick, well he was before his injuries i don't know if he has lost speed or anything hopefully not.

According to his coach, he's back to his previous physical levels. :notbad:
