Marveaux's never a box-to-box type in a million years. We do need one, badly.

no reason it shouldn't be cabaye and anita.

no chance cabaye.

why, he did it from the right of a 3 at lille. not like nolan but then he didn't have the tactic of feeding off carroll.

Not athletic enough, imo. Someone like Yaya Toure is the ideal box-to-box player, imo. Not Cabaye. (Bigi would more suited for that role.)

Couple of details in that analysis piece - agents have become involved in Loic Remy deal trying to get more €€ for Marseille so that's not necessarily straightforward.

Cabaye and Anita are too naturally static and diminutive for the role.

Both are diminutive, but neither are static in any way, shape or form. I don't know which games you are watching.

They may cover a lot of ground going backwards or sideways but they don't make the penetrating runs when we got the ball that you want from a box-to-box player. Square pegs in round holes. I'd much rather just play a genuine player for that role alongside Cabaye and Anita/Marveaux.

Agents are ruining football, but you can't be the only team in the world to take the moral high-ground and let quality players go elsewhere.

Anita could easily do box to box and he actually does do it.

we aren't.

It just always seems like there's an excuse with us for not getting what we want, at the cost of missing out on who we want.

Not effectively he doesn't. At least not yet.

anita hasn't in his past, i just think he has it in him even if he seems to be blowing at times. i'd bet we'll see a different player next season as he comes to terms with the fitness required. he has the mindset and the talent.

it's cos we only focus on us, every rumour and focus on what everyone else gets.

That's not their job to be fair. That would have been Marveuax's job and he did it pretty well. Out wide is where the problem areas were.

So, which one of you guys are responsible for updating his Wikipedia page?

It appears he joined us on the 1st for €10m + Marveaux in a swap deal along with Sissokho and Debuchy joining on the 1st :)
