Guest
Dummett is better defensively, Haidara better going forward. Santon is a better all-rounder than both of them. If we could somehow merge the 3 of them we would have an excellent fullback who we could sell to Arsenal for £12m.
merlin
There iS a decent player in there with Haidara - MUCH better coming forward than either Santon or Dummett. He is still young and a decent manager/coach could improve his reading of a game and his defensive weaknesses which are mainly as a result of his eagerness to attack. Crosses the ball with his LEFT foot, unlike Santon and has more pace than Dummett. He is raw and his game was set back by that tackle by Mcmanaman at Wigan but I would persist with him...extra coaching in the afternoons to sort him out. Pilko
He was far from one of the worst offenders yesterday, but he showed some glimpses of class. I remain unconvinced.
The College Dropout
Thought this lad played well. It was very annoying when he would make runs forward, dribble too much and eventually lose it - did that 2/3 times in the first half. But as then game grew he released the ball better. Looked to have tremendous fitness. He was very good in 1v1 situations. He spent 70 minutes defending and ALWAYS supporting attacks, Navas came on but he dealt with him well too. Hughesy
He is still quite clearly a better player than Dummett. We really should be looking to develop Haidara.
SiLvOR
Can't believe Dummett starts over him.
Pata
I honestly think he has massive potential. He has all the tools to be a world class LB. Just needs more time to get better at his decision making and be more calm with the ball at his feet.
Pilko
Played well last night.
Kanj
Im a huge fan of Massadio man, hope he gets more time on the pitch.
TRon
I honestly think he has massive potential. He has all the tools to be a world class LB. Just needs more time to get better at his decision making and be more calm with the ball at his feet. He looks like he's come on massively in the last year, but then I was a big fan regardless. We know he can bomb forward and put in decent crosses, but he looked physically bigger and more commanding as well. Under the right manager his value could rocket. Kanj
Was nice seeing him get on the right side of a strong challenge earlier when he took out Sagna, but then again, true to form - 'Sadio finds a way to get fucking dropped in nearly every match
KaKa
Another reason to question Pardew's sanity. This guy s being kept out by Dummett.

aussiemag
Whenever the poor bugger plays, we seem to lose and Pardew uses him as a scapegoat and drops him.
AyeDubbleYoo
Fullback is a much harder position if you try to get forward as well, it's easy as anything if you just keep the entire pitch in front of you.
mrmojorisin75
i like haidara, have since he joined tbh, hope he gets a run
AlanSkÃrare
So much better than Dummett
Twinport53
I love this guy, but I love him more with Aarons ahead of him. They seem to have a little bit of an understanding to go forward together and overlap etc

They seem to have a little bit of an understanding to go forward together and overlap etc Yeh they do look like they have a good understanding, they were menacing in the pre-season games in New Zealand. Theres huge potential there for our left hand side to be sorted for a good few years.
Dokko
I think Dummett is more reliable than Haidara, but certainly more limited at the same time. Eventually it won't even be up for debate, barring any injuries we will be wondering who we'd rather have over him and Santon. At that stage one of them will leave...Dummett to remain as backup. DJ_NUFC
Flashy McForeignpants better realize Dummett has already tackled his way into the team forever, and now Santon and he can fight for the scraps for fullback.
The College Dropout
Tremendous energy and fitness. Always supporting attacks. Showed today he can defend properly although he was caught slightly on his heels a few times.

Tiotes Witch Doctor
Better than Dummett at LB, but would be tempted to keep Dummett at CB which means they can both be on the pitch, happy days.
