At last we have a chance to see Debuchy and HBA together! Think about how HBA only have played with Simpson in his Newcastle career so far....

if krul was fit this could have been the first time we could have played our strongest 11

                              elliot

        debuchy  taylor      mbiwa  santon

                            tiote

                  cabaye      sissoko

          ben arfa                  gouffran

                          cisse

that has to scare the opposition

strong bench as well, 5 months ago we had no options to bring on to change a game or even just to freshen up

We both know that Sissoko will be far further up the pitch than Cabaye, like.

Aye. We're playing 4-2-3-1, not 4-3-3.

                      Elliot

Debuchy - Saylor - Mbiwa - Santon

              Tiote - Cabaye

      Jonas - Sissoko - Gouffran

                    Cisse

its a matter of opinion, i honestly think that collo has lost a yard and mbiwa looks superb and when taylor is fit we always look more solid.

HBA involved in any form on sunday is a bonus. He'll probably get half an hour and might be needed to open things up if god forbid it's a tight, frustrating game. I'd bank on Cabaye, Sissoko and Gouffran causing them enough problems though.

Absolutely no reason not to play Ben Arfa from the start like. If there's been no reaction to his injury, we should give ourselves the best start possible and bring him off at 60 minutes if he tires. Taking the risk of bringing him on at 0-0 after 70 minutes is madness tbh. The kind of pressure we (and he) don't need at home when 3 points would all but guarantee our safety.

The fact Gouffran and Jonas are "fresh" and Ben Arfa didn't look anywhere near sharp on Thurs will probably mean he will get 20 mins tomorrow and start on Thurs

the best way to get him up to speed is to play him from the start.

at home against stoke has got to be less risky than most other games, lets start him

Agree with this. I'd like to think we'd dominate the possession, and the opposition would be doing most of the running.

Last few games Pardew's done well against these. The two games last season were pretty much the perfect home and away performances, and I think we played well enough there this season to have at least got a draw.

If Cisse can't make it for Sunday, and Ben Arfa can, why not make Gouffran play as a forward and insert Benny on the right.

Was thinking just the same. Even if Cisse wasn't ill, I wouldn't mind seeing Gouffran as an out and out forward.
