People blaming Pardew.

Aye, I'm sure he instructed Santon to pass it to their forwards and Taylor to deliberately handball it in the penalty area.

No credibility at all.

It's a silly mistake (from Santon). But it stems from us not being able to deal with the pressure from Benfica. We're trying to play it out when we clearly can't handle the pace and pressure.

Santon's fucked this for us. He really has inexperience or not he's played nearly 60 games for us, you do not pass back to the keeper in that situation. What a bell end.

Get off your high horse  Could see why he passed, and Lima was clearly looking for it when he noticed that Santon was surrounded.

Aye, wasnt like Lima was stood on the edge of the 18 yard box or anything..........................

Of course it's Pardew, the players don't know what they're supposed to do with the ball. Santon was put under immense pressure because we're not a team. Fair play on the Saylor bit like. :(

Santon i would a bit, as a coach you should be drilling into players never to do things like that.........if Santon keeps doing things like that then you leave him out.

Agreed. As a coach he should be drilling into players to score lots of goals and not concede any...

But I thought we were just a long ball team?

I'm far from a fan of Pardew but blaming him for this capitulation is farcical.
