Guest icemanblue
Although I don't think he will, it'll be interesting to see what happens in the summer if we stay up and Pardew stays. I don't think there'll be quite the clamour to leave as most seem to be expecting. We've supposedly scouted players specifically for professional attitudes, so I'd expect to see most accept their own part in this holocaust of a season. Varadi
I have been absolutely convinced that he's out as soon as the season ends, but now doubts are starting to creep in - only thing we know for sure about Ashley is that he's unpredictable so nothing should surprise us I guess. sugoinufc
i know people are tired of other forum members (bimey etc.) having a go again and again.... But i have to say i feel the same way as bimey. Its a bit funny coz i do not hate everything about pardew - far from it actually. But still i feel very depressed...i do not feel there is anything worth discussing as long as pards is manager here. There is no development or anything to be excited about. No development in our football, wasting good players in weird positions, same routine again and again (Shola on after 70 min even though we have other (inexperienced, i know) options in campbell. At least try something different when big shola keeps failing....starting to feel sorry for the bloke. The best we can hope for is to stay up...and that will not be anything to credit pardew for. The only thing we can hope for is that pardew somehow keeps the squad happy. No matter what he will have a very very busy summer with a lot of issues work on. AyeDubbleYoo
27 years of Pardew Wouldn't mind if it also included multiple trophies like. If he won something he would probably get a 20 year contract TBF.

afar
I know the majority (well everyone bar Ian W ) wants the fraudster to be jettisoned even if we survive. But should we stay in the PL what are people's feelings on whether Ashley will actually sack him ? I think there's only about 10% chance of that happening, just think they are too pally and he's managed to pull the wool over there eyes with the EL, lack of investment in the summer and injuries. Mightn't last a month or two into the new season though if we don't get off to a good start.

There's no point in waiting until we're 10 games into next season, have crashed out of the League Cup and have a load of discontented players and fans. Plus whoever then takes over would need at least 5-10 games to get the players accustomed to their style of play so we'd already be halfway through the season. Another season of mediocrity and the better players would start getting itchy feet and we're back to rebuilding the squad. Just do it after the Arsenal game, replace him with someone competent and let them have a full pre-season to work with. If a new manager is making progress the better players would probably stick around for another year.

He really shouldn't be in a job Monday morning after the Arsenal game, but I think he will be and will be when things kick off again for next season, closing the stable door after the horse has bolted will be how it goes down I'm afraid.
