85 goals for Rooney to match Shearers record, and Decky will owe me £100 from a bet made years and years ago. It's going to be tight.

How old is he?

Will be 29 next month.

He could do it like, but it will be a huge task. Hopefully he'll pick up a few injuries from now until he retires...

Just reminds you how amazing Shearer was. Despite pretty much having to re-invent himself as a player for a sizeable chunk of his career, he still got that many goals, man.

plus he had 2 seasons out with ACL's - legend

Also, regarding the PR bit, it goes both ways. It raises awareness when somebody famous is seen supporting a given cause. There was this case when some Real Madrid players visited a lad with leukemia (even misguided souls are still capable of kindness) tweeted/instagramed about it, went viral, and caused a spike in bone marrow donations.

These are the wage limits La Liga has imposed on clubs this season. They are not a fixed amount for all, but a percentage of available income after fixed costs, debt payments, etc... are deducted. So they are fair assessment of clubs financial strength:

I know, I know, inequality and all that. But I'm really surprised to see us above Real Madrid given we have slightly lower income. Maybe we aren't that badly run afterall.

Would love to see Pards vs Solksjaer 's records since the latter took over at Cardiff.

His Premier League record reads: played 18, won three, drawn three, lost 12, scored 17, conceded 42.

Championship stands at 2 wins and 2 draws from 7 games

25 games, 5 wins, 5 draws, 20 points.

Better than Pardew

Pardews last 25 games

6 wins, 3 draws, 16 losses and 21 points. 1 point better than Solksjaer. I think Solkjaer would have done a hell of a lot better job than Pardew with our squad.

Forgot our 25th game was Stoke on Boxing Day. I counted the FA Cup one :anguish:
