Guest
Imagine finally getting to the Champions League and getting the grim group of Porto, Club Brugge and Copenhagen They could easily win that, then all of a sudden they're seeded with a fair chance of the last 8. I suppose the flip side is that they collect the money whilst still going through, where they'll get the glamour tie(s). But the group is an anti-climax
Dinho lad
Not for them, it wouldn't.
Stifler
In all fairness with them being top seeds they were never really going to get the glamour ties (elite clubs) in the group stages. This group is a good opportunity for them to progress and if they do so then they will likely get the glamour tie.
Holloway
The Leicester fans will be about that draw But carry on sniffing at it by all means
Yorkie
3 absolutely belting away trips. Aye gutted. It's a fair point, though, it's hardly a glamorous draw. It'll no doubt be marvellous and they could easily even progress, but you don't long for Copenhagen when you qualify for the CL. I'm fraught with jealousy, obviously. Being top seeds they were always going to draw at least 1.5 shite teams plus it's a better night on the piss than all the other D seed options. Way better than Rostov or Razgrad. sbnufc
Europa League is so dull man http://i.imgur.com/fbGAP6l.png They could cut at least half of those teams and it'd still look pretty uninspiring

Nobody
AP reporting that it's now confirmed that there'll be four guaranteed spots for the four biggest leagues in Europe (England, Spain, Italy and Germany) in the Champions League from the 2018/2019 season. Portugal, France and Russia get two guaranteed spots, Ukraine, Belgium, Holland, Turkey and Switzerland will get one guaranteed spot with the remaining five being up for qualifiers. Absolute fucking bullshit, no need whatsoever for the big leagues to have an even easier ride in. Fucking useless UEFA. This bit confirmed by UEFA today. Utter cunts. mosstef
They should probably change the name of the CL soon then. There won't be many national champions in it in the future.
Nobody
What bullshit reasoning have they given for this? Speaking about the amendments agreed for the new cycle, UEFA General Secretary ad interim Theodore Theodoridis said: "The evolution of UEFA's club competitions is the result of a wide-ranging consultative process involving all stakeholders and taking into account a wide range of expertise and perspectives. "The amendments made will continue to ensure qualification based on sporting merit, and the right of all associations and their clubs to compete in Europe's elite club competitions. "We are happy that European football remains united behind the concepts of solidarity, fair competition, fair distribution and good governance." Or as Foluwa said; "Money money money." Stifler
Aye to be honest UEFA were probably shitting themselves that Italy may take one of England's spots in the coming years and they need as many of the English clubs in it as they can. I'm pretty sure UEFA would love to have more than 4 teams from England in the CL. They have done this so they can retain as many clubs from England as possible whilst still getting the big teams from elsewhere in there.
