For all their good form in the past weeks they're still in the bottom 3

Next 3 games, all away : Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool. f*** that lot

Chances are they won't be that far adrift. West Brom have got Fulham and Man U, Norwich have Spurs home, Villa away and Stoke at home. prob only be 3 points off 4th bottom unfortunately

Don't spoil this with your correct logic

Sorry  as much as I want the fuckers to drown it's probably not gonna happen, too much shit down there

Aye, reckon you're right unfortunately  :undecided:

After next weekend, the next time Sunderland play a league game is 10th March away at Liverpool.

Aye, we'll still be in the bottom 3 after that, but I don't think we'll be cut adrift as there is a lot of shit at the bottom of the league this season.

It's simple really. If we can win our home games then we'll stay up regardless of what the other teams around us do. If we don't win those games, as has happened all season, then it's bye bye, and we'll deserve to go down.

We can't even blame the fact that we're in a cup final, because we've picked up some very good results even with that distraction.

If anything, your cup run has helped you IMO, with the gained confidence and buzz amongst the supporters that it has given. Think you'll stay up, but it'll be very, very close.

Does rtg have a poster called willy the weasel? Reading the paper this morning and he has text in with

'just to point out that the stats say it is 91 years since we beat spewcastle 3 times in a row, well do you know how many years it is since they beat sunderland 3 times in a row? 101 years'

 Thats is obviously ignoring the 5 times we won in the early/mid 00's and four times in the early/mid 90's the fucking stupid wanker. And 'spewcastle' man, such a childish tosser

what annoys me more than anything with them is that because someone has actually written it, regardless of who it is or where it's printed, that'll now be the gospel truth and anyone not accepting it is denying the truth etc.

have the same with a mackem at work about how we hounded SBR out on a weekly fucking basis

Still think they will stay up.

Same.  Six points surrendered against these c***s, man.

Would have probably effectively relegated them had we won too.

Second time in successive seasons we'll have kept them up IMO. Pardew truly deserves to be the toast of Wearside.

Give them 6 points and beat the teams around them when they were begging us to win like Palace and W.Ham. We really have gave them a massive aid this season.

We still have to play Villa, Fulham, Hull, Palace, Stoke and Cardiff. We should be looking to win all of those, but the way we are playing and the fact it seems our club are happy to finish on 37pts means we might help aid the mackems relegation.

If it comes down to our penultimate home game vs Cardiff to get the mackems relegated, I'll be so pissed if we don't throw it. (yes, even it means sacrificing or in anywa jeopardising our precious 8th placed finish)

theres the other angle tho- depite us gifting them 6 points, they are still in the bottom 3 and dont play us again. their away fixtures are against teams after CL places, home games, where they have been desperate, are against fellow strugglers.

Reports of statement expected from @MCFC in 20 minutes on fate of this game. Weather & traffic chaos horrendous. #safc

Imagine having to rearrange this amongst their current fixtures :D
