cp40
The way they are run, they'll get caught out eventually - the entire team and staff on short term deals to constantly try to survive. They'll never do anything other than fight relegation, or be relegated. Their manager is irrelevant, they still have a p*ss poor team. Mike Ashley has taken us from a regular in Europe to below these. We've only finished below these 1 more time than the 8 years leading up to Ashley haven't we? (2000 & 2001, 2009 to 2011?) probs, kind of meant right now today we are below them, and more intended as a remark about how far Ashley has overseen us fall- to be where SAFC are. sempuki
I'd take Diabate ahead of Rivierre and Cisse. I'd take diabetes ahead of Rivierre.
Guest chopey
Some of the best derbies we had were in the 1st division (apart from the play off )
Stray Mackem
Quite happy if it's Allardyce. He's probably the best we can get at the minute, and hopefully he'll call the shots with Ellis Short and be left to run the team as he sees fit. I'll be gutted if he brings Nolan mind
Decky
Allardyce will keep them up imo. He's the kind of manager that will keep them anywhere between 11th and 16th every season. We're 100% losing the derby in a few weeks if McClaren is still here too which will be even more painful with Allardyce as their manager.

Fat Sham would keep them up.
cp40
are they doing that thing they do , when they get a new manager, every season,, and this time its it, this is the right man, the next level now etc etc.

midds
Allardyce and Sunderland are a good fit imo. The fans will respond to the ugly, gritty stuff they're about to get. Their heroes are Kevin Ball and John Kay ffs. As long as they get stuck in the fans will lap it up all day long.
Ketsbaia
He'll be enough to beat us but not enough to stay up. Not this time.
mrmojorisin75
He'll be enough to beat us but not enough to stay up. Not this time. He's not generally an immediate impact manager without the right players though is he? As we saw. Hoping it takes time for his ideas to take root, a few weeks at least. xLiaaamx
If they still had Wickham then maybe, but can they actually play long ball with the players they've got? Poor little Jermain is going to be an expensive bench warmer, and Graham won't keep them up

Minhosa
I'm sure he'd keep them up. Get them organised etc. He'll love Clattermole that's for sure.

Guest reefatoon
Now on SSN - they want him until the end of the season. And then what ? Check next season's fixture list and give him a contract extension up to two weeks before they play us.

Poor little Jermain is going to be an expensive bench warmer, and Graham won't keep them up They've got Fletcher who could probably do as a target man type until December. I'm pretty sure Sam would find a way to get them long balling it.
TRC
Looks like Fletcher has decided to play for a bit now. I'd imagine him or Toivonen upfront. Lens is good going forward but he's not an Allardyce player really?
KaKa
Toivonen has done alright for them so far right? He'll be straight out of the team under Big Sam. Defoe will be shunted out wide a la Obafemi Martins. Going to be so damned ugly.
