Conjo
Order seems to be restored. The season we finished 5th, most people on here were cautious and a bit pessimistic ahead of each game. Combine that with the at most times negative play we had, the two negatives became positive and we won. Last season we expected too much, and were quite positive in terms that we predicted wins a lot more. Combine that positive with the negative play, we ended up negative and lost. This season has potential.
Unbelievable
A spirited 2-1 loss, where we will feel a little hard done by at the final whistle.
Shearergol
we have no chance of even scoring, let alone keeping it down to two.
Guest DebuchyAndTheBeast
With all players fit id love to see a 4-3-1-2 with attacking wing backs. Debuchy and Santon both have great attackign ability from deep so I really think it could work. Krul Debuchy Saylor Coloccini Santon Sissoko Anita Cabaye HBA Cisse Remy Good idea playing narrow and leaving our fullbacks exposed to their wingers and fullbacks who like getting forward That's why its important to keep the ball and press very high with intensity. Look at Liverpool their fullbacks provide the width but its effective because they press high with intensity and keep the ball well. Pardew would never do it though. Highline? BottledDog
Would be a disaster for us to score, or win. Would give people false hope.
aussiemag
Wouldnt be surprised if Cabaye doesnt play and Gosling replaces him, with this fucking management setup.

Guest
2-0 City. We'll be competitive first 20 minutes, they'll score and dominate until half-time. We'll have a couple of early chances, with something like a good penalty shout, tight offside or something going against us, before they score again and stroll the last half hour. Elma
Think it will be this: Krul Debuchy Saylor Coloccini Yanga-Mbiwa Cabaye Tiote HBA Sissoko Gouffran Cisse Not sure if Krul or Elliott in goal but I'll go with Krul. Will more or less be 4-5-1 with Sissoko doing his best to support Cisse. That means little or no service and pretty much accepting a slow, painful defeat. Mole_Toonfan
Highline? The same high line that practically every successful team use? its fine as long you put pressure on the player in possession.

colinmk
Agreed. Colo is a bloody good player and what he lacks in pace he usually makes up in intelligence.

Colo and Yanga-Mbiwa are not good and technical? and Yanga-Mbiwa is not pacy? Besides Dortmund and Bayern hardly have the quickest and most technical defenders in the world. ( Hummels aside who isn't quick either)
AlanSkÃrare
High line would work if we press good enough in the right areas of midfield. I don't trust us to do that.
Ronaldo
Agreed. Colo is a bloody good player and what he lacks in pace he usually makes up in intelligence. Not when we play a high line he doesn't. He doesn't stand a chance in that position against quick strikers.
