The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Steve Cooper sacked by Leicester

It hasn’t gone down well with the proper Man Utd fans

You just can’t say that as a Man Utd manager.

It's interesting how much flak this got, yet Pep came out and said how he couldn't compete with us after we beat them and nobody batted an eyelid.

Solskjaer is everyones favourite guy to hate at the minute. Pretty pathetic. Still in the FA Cup, into the knockout stages of the Europa League and sitting in 5th in the Premier League and just after winning 4-0. Not sure what else anyone expected from him to be honest.

Whatever you think of Valverde as a manager, the way Barcelona have treated him in the last few days has been a disgrace. If you want to sack him then just do it now and put a temporary replacement in charge instead of undermining him as they are now. This situation helps nobody.

It is strange they have decided he is not up to the job on the back of a meaningless semi final defeat in the Spanish equivalent of the Community Shield. Clearly losing out on a huge cash windfall from an El Clasico in Saudi Arabia meant more to them rather the two 2nd leg collapses in the Champions League in the last 2 years.

Its 2 years worth of steady decline which he seems to have no answers for (its Messi that has bailed him out countless times) - this season has been worse, they can barley string a performance away from home - playing a turgid 4-4-2 hasn't helped - should have got rid of him end of last season

Barca's recruitment has been very poor recently (take De Jong and Arthur to one side), so that part of Barca needs looking into also

Pearson doing a great job at Watford and no surprise to me after him building the side that Ranieri took over at Watford.

What a difference to Brewcie. Pearson just gets on with the job, no quotes from the PLM book of quotes, no spinning plates and no excuses

I completely agree with the reasons for sacking Valverde, the Barcelona board have just been very unprofessional in how they have gone about it.

Whoever signs the players should be sacked as well, lots of money wasted on the likes of Coutinho and Malcolm.

Have to say, Pearson is really growing on me. Seems like a decent chap and fairly articulate.

Not sure what you're getting at. Just stating that as of now, we're still in every major competition we were in at the start of the season and we're sitting where we were expected to be in the league, maybe even higher. A lot of pundits predicted 6th place.

Sacking your manager when he has you top of the league.  Only Barca.

Tbf this is our worst season record-wise since the last Rijkaard season. Real Madrid/Atlético are just sucking a teeny bit more.

Should have been done in the summer though, now it will only cause more upheaval. I think Setién is probably a better manager than Xavi, but Xavi's presence would probably calm things down and he'd have the respect of the dressing room (which is imho Zidane's best quality at Real Madrid, that he's Zinedine fucking Zidane).
