They've got the current ballon d'or holder and I think in Kvaratskhelia they probably have the best wide player in Europe.

They have the two best fullbacks in the world and arguably the best CM as well

Theyre easier to remember...messi, suarez, villa, xavi, iniesta, busquests, pique, puyol, valdes, Pedro,  Abidal.

Couldn't name one of his Bayern or City teams though

Pep only being a good manager because of the resources available to him is such a false lazy narrative. He has literally changed football in this country even at grassroots level.

Ferguson gets all sorts of praise for bringing through that class of 92 or whatever it was called but that team Pep brought through at Barca was on another level to that .

Not entirely....he got the resources because he was the best. It will be interesting to see what he can do when he doesnt have them

Guess the biggest knock against Pep is that he’s “only” won 3 CLs. Most influential manager since Cruyff imo.

Couldn't agree more on the influence.

If there's a question mark it's whether "Pep-ball" or that he had x-factor players won those Champions Leagues, but you still have to design the systems to facilitate those players and his teams have played some exhilarating football at times (albeit often facilitated by boring teams to death before turning it on)

I think he knows City are going to get the book thrown at them over the 115 charges and doesn't want to be associated with it. Suppose its easier to drop a job when you can basically pick where you want to go

This is absolutely it.

And Maresca is the useful patsy who'll do as he's told and carry on the Pep while the penalties are paid until Big Vinnie fancies it and carries it forward

He said today he was still going to work for the City group as an ambassador

Do we think? Have a sneaky feeling they'll win their case.

If they change the rules next week they might just get a fine

It's the 115 charges for me - City provided him the best players on the best wages by cheating.  Give Eddie Haaland and he'd probably win the league.

This case wont ever be resolved, there will be appeal and counter appeal for the next 10 years and if an actual verdict is ever reached no one will care anymore
