The entirely wrong person at that time.

GeordieDazzler
Hojlund and Zirkzee are players who needed another two three seasons where they were. Not dropped into the toxic mess of a superclub.

No doubt we rode our luck at times tonight, but overall we were just so much better. What a sweet feeling. Exactly...first time in my life I've seen their squad and thought that there's literally not one player to be actually terribly concerned about. They're almost at the point where even suspect decisions and homer refs can't even help them. Long may it continue

Where's the Cantona, Where's the Keane or Scholes Where's the Ferdinand and Vidic Where's the Van Persie or Van Nistelrooy Where's the Beckham and Giggs. I'll never understand why they went for two strikers in such an early stage of their development, when they had no established first team striker at the club. I was so sure they were going to sign Toney this past summer but they didn't.
Sima
Remember when they were heavily linked with Kane Ended up with Hojlund which is similar to us starting Osula every game. Edited December 31, 2024 by Sima

alexf
Didn't want to jinx it before the game so wasn't hyping our chances, but knew if we turned up we are the far superior team at the moment. But almost had to pinch myself in that first half at times. It was like men against boys. The dominance in midfield of Tonali and Bruno. When was the last time anyone can remember us going to old Trafford and looking that superior in a league match. It was a shame we didn't really put them to the sword earlier on, as it should have been 4 or 5. They did improve once Mainoo came on, not sure if it was a combo of having more bodies in the middle, or if we backed off and were conserving energy. What I do know is if we gift the chances we did tonight to Spurs, we might get undone. But they are in a bad way Man U. If they want to pick up results they are going to have to change system until they sign more players. Did enjoy the Neville crying throughout though. He and all their fans don't have a clue about suffering. I hope it continues long into the foreseeable. Edited December 31, 2024 by alexf

Conjo
The arrogance of Amorim to expect a midfield two of Eriksen and Casemiro in 2024 to have any chance at all against prime Bruno, Joelinton and Tonali Although I appreciate his honesty in interviews, and he seems a genuinely lovely guy, it can't be very inspiring for his players to hear him cuck himself and the team in interviews 2 times a week. Zero
It does look like a war between Amorim and the players. “I would not change, you all gotta listen to me and follow my instructions or let’s die together”

For all of the jest, I actually think Man United fans are generally very patient with both players and managers, especially in comparison to Arsenal for instance, so I was somewhat surprised to hear the reaction to him being taken off. Felt a bit sorry for him to be honest. He's not good enough, but thought that was a bit of a joke to be honest. For how shite he is, at least he tries.
