Do Man Utd have the money to spend in January so Amorin can rebuild the squad to play his system? They're in a dodgy place with PSR aren't they?

We won't have any money in January.

Always felt a bit mad to bring him in at the point of the season where they have so many games and so little form of any description.

Football Ramble compared football management at Man United to someone who puts up tents. Amorim could be the best guy in the world at putting up tents but if he’s doing it in a hurricane it doesn’t matter at all.

We knew this would be the case though didn't we? Has Amorim not made it perfectly clear all along that his system will take time to implement. He said he won't go back and play a pragmatic system because in a year we'll just be in the same situation.

People have talked about "open heart surgery" for a while. Is this not the way? The same players have got managers sacked over and over again.

I said this when Jim the rat came in and took Ashworth.

Man Utd don’t want to buy the youngster who needs a couple of years to develop into great players. They want the big names.

They have a squad of big names, but they are too old, their best years are behind them, some of them have left clubs like Real Madrid, others know that they are not going to Real Madrid. They have already made it by arriving at Man Utd, or they have peaked and are on the downward spiral.

But Nan Utd need the big name player, because shirt sales, and 1,000 sponsors rely on it.

Until they are prepared to make the sacrifice and built a team like Brighton have, and how us and Aston Villa are trying to do, then they are going nowhere.

Sacking Ashworth is the biggest indication that they aren’t prepared to do that.

It was Ten Hag who didn't want to work with Rangnick as well, and upper management got rid of Rangnick because of that. The issues always start at the top.

Just don't get relegated please. Let Amorim do his thing and get rid of the ones who aren't up to it.

Froggy do you think that the Glazers and/or Ineos are trying to manage the high earners out of the club and it’s causing unrest amongst the squad. Looks like they’re trying to do it with Casemiro and Rashford. Maybe that’s a big part of it. Too much meddling from above. It’s their own fault though, they’re the ones that gave them those big contracts. I remember how they treated Lingard was appalling.

No I don't think so. I think Rashford is useless and has a stinking attitude and I think the game has passed Casemiro by. We need people on those sort of wages to be gone unless they're performing to a high level.

Like Amad, Garnacho, Hojlund, Yoro etc.

Amorim looks and sounds like he's overwhelmed. He's got to stop going on about how difficult the job is.

He needs to stop being asked about how difficult it is. He keeps giving the same answers.

Worth reading comments on Eddie Howe from 15th Jan before writing off Amorim.

Things can change very quickly in football when it starts to click, as we've seen over the last couple of weeks.

Our situation was quite different though.

Fortunately we largely had a group of players with great attitudes, work ethic and a desire to do better.

They were just hamstrung by horrible leadership at the top and more importantly, in the dugout.

I think that's why Howe was then ultimately able to turn things around, once his training finally bedded in, and overcame the nonsense Bruce was doing.

I like Amorim, but man, that set of players seem to lack commitment and the right mindset to turn things around, and the pressure is building.

There's no pressure on Amorim, which is important to note. We trust him and want him to do his thing.

The players are in bother mind. Old Trafford will not be nice if Monday goes as expected.

No fernandez and ugarte! Big blow for you guys as one is your only attacking outlet, unless rashford and garnacho suddenly get back in the good books!

Who thr hell will fill those gaps? Casemiro? Erikson?

You lot look really  fcucked!

Our best attacking outlet is Fernandes obviously but Amad has been our most dangerous player this season.

King Antony set up for a redemption arc.

Interesting, but you never saw Eddie with his head in his hands, staring at the ground, or moaning about difficult the job was. He always projected faith in his players and faith in himself.

Yeah, was talking more about the players, regarding the pressure, because they are getting rinsed by the fans, and rightfully so.

Yeah, Eddie's evenness, at least in public, is a good feature. A lot of football is about not getting too carried away with the wins or down with the losses.

Haven't seen much of Amorim, but I certainly wouldn't be writing him off yet. He plays a completely different system, which was known when they bought him so he'll need time. He's also new to the country and giving interviews in a foreign language so sometimes allowances need to be made for the exact wordage he uses.

For a man who’s under no pressure Amorim has the look of a man under massive pressure

He won’t even last anywhere near as long as ten Hag. He’s so uninspiring and totally overwhelmed with the PL. Then it’ll be Southgate next which might not be a bad thing. Look how he galvanised the England squad.

Even Bruno who's already one of the best in our history, is getting a lot of stick now. That was extremely stupid from him last night.

Classic NO for people writing off Amorim already.

This place is worse than twitter nowadays.

Have you seen Twitter? This place is a Jane Austen book in comparison

I know it won’t happen but Man Utd getting relegated would be utterly hilarious.

it would also put is both on 6.  Ashley putting our relation count higher than theirs is irritating.

The league only started in 1993 so no idea what you're on about.
