That is EXACTLY why HBA should not start every game. I coach kids with more awareness of what's going on around them...

Jesus

Glad you noted that because i was just.......argh.....

Guy created more than anyone else in half the time. Granted he was a bit greedy but if he wasn't greedy he wouldn't be Hatem.

Well yeah, everyone is focusing on those two shots, ok they were very greedy but like f*** he's selfish all the time. He damn good will create chances if we actually played him, like last week.

I know criticising HBA on here goes against the grain, but he was poor and looked disinterested against Stoke until two reds gave him the space / time to look good...

He could have created chances from those ridiculous shots if he'd had half a brain.

What like last week ? or most of the other times he's played. Or are you basing him being selfish all the time on those two chances today. Not a lot to say to you really other than, give your head a shake like

Krul - 6. Alright.

Debuchy - 9. Excellent, didn't put a foot wrong at the back and was dangerous going forward.

Williamson - 9. Thought he was absolutely tremendous. The guy has just completely regenerated.

Coloccini - 7. Decent.

Santon - 5. Rubbish at LB - bad touch, constantly lost the ball. Better on the right.

Anita - 6. A lot of nothing mixed with some useful touches. Constantly offered himself for the ball.

Tiote - 7. Would've been a brilliant performance if not for that utterly stupid foul that led to the goal. Combative and positive all game, though.

Sissoko - 6. Some nice touches and a good driving force down the wing. Flattered to deceive.

Cabaye - 7. Grew into the game with some nice passes and real tenacity.

Gouffran - 6. Usual mix of work-rate and occasional goal threat. Nowt amazing.

Remy - 6. Struggled to get into it but had some really nice touches, especially in the first half.

HBA needs to wise up a bit, bad decision making really costs us. He's got so much to his game apart from that.

I do agree in a way - but I think a lot of what clouds his judgement on the pitch is down to how he introduced into a time-pressured situation. I'm not exonerating him or giving him a free pass btw, just explaining why I think he plays as he does when we're chasing / need a goal in a very limited time frame.

Why the fuck would you bring Haidara on in that situation? Makes no sense whatsoever.

Because we went to wing backs, Haidara left and Santon right. Well that's what Pardew was telling them, didn't quite look that shape in the end.

Cabaye's got an absolute wand of a right foot but today's another example of him going missing in midfield against the better sides.

Exaggeration. Didn't dictate the play but it was a tenacious and dogged performance mixed with two or three nice passes, which didn't quite make their target.

Soft goal from a soft freekick. Shame really as they really didn't have too many good chances. Thought we waited too long to have a proper go at them.

We are a tough team to stop when we are attacking at home and we should have piled the pressure on soon.

Still though solid performance and we were unlucky not to take atleast a draw from that. First goal was always going to be crucial.

That didn't help either, formation was lost and we became chaotic.

Nah.

We switched Santon to right wing specifically because he did that & created a clear opportunity seconds later. Santon did well on that side.

I reckon the Arsenal fans at my work will say that they were hanging on last 20 minutes and didn't show too much before that, regardless of us not fashioning many chances. They'll see that as a hard fought win where they could easily have lost points.

He can get wide and cross it to Shola.

Ah yes, of course. The prolific goal scorer Shola Ameobi.

Aye, we had plenty of pressure, I was really happy to see, but it's clear we don't train very much in terms of dominating possession, we just make consistently poor decisions.

We retain the ball across our back four when chasing the game, wasting our own time, only to hoof it and lose it.

We keep the ball well in midfield in periods of sustained pressure, but we never get it to our strikers, unless it's shola's head.

Our mid range passing is completely lacking incisiveness. We can't switch quick enough, can't put pressure on opposing players through well weighted passes.
