The College Dropout
A team doesn't go to 3 CL finals in 5 seasons - being the best side in all 3 campaigns being Carried by a single player for one of them.

Taylor Swift
Liverpool are going to win, man. They're playing some sensational football and they'll finish on 89 points and deserve the title.
Taylor Swift
We'll never hear the end of this which is why it would be the bestest thing ever if we ruin it in the last match of the season but that ain't going to happen, is it?
Newcastle Fan
As much as i don't want them to win it they will totally deserve it if they do.
Flip
A team doesn't go to 3 CL finals in 5 seasons - being the best side in all 3 campaigns being Carried by a single player for one of them. That Milan side wasn't the same as the previous Milan sides. It had sold it's biggest star in Shevchenko. Their defence was past their best and even consisted of Jankulovski as left-back. Matter of fact is that without Kaka they wouldn't even have gone past the group stages and barely did so anyways. Almost got beaten by Celtic and then against Man U it was him against 11 players at Old Trafford. What Kaka did very few players have done and at his prime he was excellent, yet I have to agree with Ronaldo that he's a shadow of himself and half the player he was back then today. The College Dropout
That Milan side was great on the big occasion but were never the most consistent, especially against weaker sides. In that period they won Serie A twice? In that period. But on the big occasion they came up trumps, so I'm not having it that they wouldn't have gotten further in the CL without Kaka. They reminded me of a better version of that Man Utd side that went to 3 finals. By the last the total were all last their best and they lost their star man. But still an excellent excellent side. Let's agree to disagree before it takes over this thread I'll stick to what I said. I used to follow that Milan side and that year without Sheva they came 4th in the league, I think it was the year they lost both derbies as well and without Kaka there's no way in hell they'd won the CL. The year after they missed out on CL spot as well I think.

triggs
Don't think Leicester will be any great addition to the premier league. They are alright like but not going to add anything to the league

Guest
First time I've looked at the Serie A table in about 8 years, poor Roma. Could easily reach 90 points this season and get nowhere near the title.
Tooj
Is it just me who thinks that Kompany makes these "uncharacteristic" errors in the same way that Petr Cech used to do?
Rich
Nah. On his day Kompany is an excellent defender, but there haven’t been many of those days since City won the title two years ago, when the Belgian was the best centre-back in Europe. Kompany remains a fine player, but he’s committed almost every kind of defensive error in the last year or so – vulnerable to pace, capable of scoring crazy own goals, mistiming tackles, getting spun high up the pitch, jumping into tackles two-footed, losing his man at set-pieces, getting caught in possession. English football seems to have a blind spot to his failings, too: one newspaper column declared him the player of the season on the morning of this game, another gave him 8/10 for this display where, again, he was responsible for all three goals. Imagine the reaction had Demichelis cost City three goals in three different ways…

Beren
Definitely not the rock Citeh have needed him to be. Doesn't help being paired with shite most of the time though. More responsibility on his shoulders = greater margin for error.
