1878
Yeah, I thought Okore looked a decent player. Kozak is just a big donkey.

Flip
If Bale and Neymar went for the money that was rumoured, then Suarez is easily worth that. Suarez Ronaldo DiMaria Bale Modric Xabi

Village Idiot
We gotta have one of the worst transfer records around among big clubs. We've been bailed out by our academy*, really. Anyway, I'm off to bang my head again. *Although we've become able to screw this up too. See Thiago.
brummie
Ashley actually wants us to stay up. The way Lerner has been going on these last few seasons, I don't think he wants Villa to stay up. Benteke aside how many players have they signed for over 4m recently? Jores Okore, Libor Kozak. Lerner doesnt want us to get relegated if he wants to sell us. He's not that stupid. He is stupid enough to get us relegated accidentally though. Okore is talented and looked a good prospect for this league until he tore his leg against NUFC. Kozak is complete rubbish. Kozak did ok - he started 8 league matches for us and scored 4 goals before his injury. I wasn't impressed before he came, to be honest, and he's not the most mobile of strikers, but he did pretty well. Lambert does pretty well when he spends over 5m, it's when he spends a lot less that it looks less impressive.
Mole_Toonfan
I've been abstaining from commenting on our transfer talk and particularly Fábregas since my reaction can be summed up like this: Think its a good move if you actually get someone who is suited to your midfield. Problem with Fabregas is he doesn't really have a position.

Problem with Fabregas is he doesn't really have a position. The way Celta Vigo played I can really see him fit into the same system playing behind the striker. Iniesta will probably have to move further down into Xavi's role though which is an absolute shame.
Away Toon
The problem with Fabregas is he's so slow.
KaKa
Behind who? Jores Okore and Ron Vlaar will be the starters I imagine. Hmmm ... I guess he would be third choice then, which isn't a disaster don't think. Is he really that much worse than Steven Taylor? Nah.
Flip
The problem with Fabregas is he's so slow. So is Iniesta and Xavi. That's not his problem, his problem has been trying to accomodate him into a system that doesn't fit his ability. Play him behind a striker with movement and he'll be excellent. Mole_Toonfan
Xavi and Iniesta maybe slow but they have an excellent ability to escape markers in closed space. Fabregas however can't do that he needs a lot more space to be dangerous.
