Should just let them form their 20-team UEFA superleague and be done with it.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but the Premier League would be unbelievably grim without Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal etc. Beating those kind of teams is generally the highlight of the season

That's why football is fucked with views like this. Beating man United or Chelsea is now ranked like some fa cup giantkilling it's a disgrace

It's not a fucking highlight of a season if you're in the same division

Football is fucked well and truly....the bubble will burst at some time

Nah even when we were good beating those kind of teams were massive highlights of seasons

How can promoted teams compete like?

We're not supposed to be able to.

We got relegated at the worst possible time.

Yep. The system is very clearly stacked in favor of a select few teams.

Time for a transfer fee cap across UEFA.

I agree with that, would love to see not only a transfer cap but a squad size cap, including how many youth players to stop the top elite hoovering up all the talent and loaning them out, that or a maximum number of players any team can loan out, say 2. that will put a lot of young players off joining them.

Horseshit that we can't compete with these fees. We get our fair share of the TV deal as well. It's not like we're still stuck in 2007 while the other clubs have got a fair advantage. Its no more fucking extortionate that previously, just relative to the money being brought in

We've missed one season in the PL. No excuses not to be spending money.

well unless we loan more money i think you are incorrect, it's long been the position of the club that they'll only spend what it has iirc

Who are Chelsea going to pursue given Costa is off? Wonder if there's a stench of urine drenched gussets in their online haunts?

Supposedly after Morata.

A transfer fee cap will be pointless unless you add a wage cap too. Money saved on transfers will end up on wages as that's how clubs will compete.

Anyway, not gonna happen. But it's getting ludicrous.

Steady on, surely they're supposedly thinking about considering looking into a potential enquiry. There's apparently a due process to follow here. Oh, no. That's just us.

Hate the idea of a wage cap. Only going to make the Owners richer.

Yup. That's the main reason for not having a wage cap. Leave it as it is. Let the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, and let there be a massive gulf between clubs such that the football and competition deteriorate to the point where the sport is no longer recognisable. Let it be more about Pogs and Lukaks dabbing and less about an exciting competitive league.

I'd love to see figures for Sky subscriptions as I suspect they'll be decreasing, not least because of increased competition from the likes of Netflix and Prime for entertainment (especially younger audiences) and illegal streaming in homes and in pubs.

I think we'll be at a point in the next few years where their model of throwing insane amounts of cash at football rights will be unsustainable at the current levels and the domestic TV deals will start to decrease for clubs, although maybe this will be offset somewhat by the foreign TV deals which seem to be increasing and becoming a bigger part of the overall picture.

In this country sure, but what makes the TV deal so huge is the amount countries around the world paying ridiculous amounts and it's growing all the time.

The Premier League will gamble on other countries increasing making up for ours maybe decreasing, they'll probably be right too.

It can't see the bubble bursting any time soon.

James to Bayern on a two-year loan.

Jesus [emoji38] He'll do well under Ancelotti imo.

clearing space for their new signing then, whoever that might be...hazard presumably

Not really as he wasn't a first team regular under them.

If they signed Mbappe or somebody Bale is likely to be most at risk.
