AY
Class, love Eero He seems to be a bit crap, though. 2 in 10 in the Spanish third tier while playing for the team with the most expensive squad in that league. He is. Finnish people have no idea why he went there.. Played ok for AIK iirc.

Was only here for six months like, but scored some good goals and his link up play was decent. Wouldn't surprise me if Real Madrid scouts saw his goal against Djurgården and just bought him for shits and giggles, as the money they paid is nowt for them, but massive for us. Village Idiot
Real Madrid only signed him to prop up their B team. They had been relegated to the Spanish third tier and they bought a few players to try to get back up ASAP (which they failed to do). He wasn't meant to play for the seniors. Nah, I know, but it was still a huge sell for us like. Weird transfer either way you look at it tbh. Would happily have him back now that his contract has been terminated, but we'd have to seek dispensation and he'd only come in as our third best striker (we play a 4-4-2 and our current third striker is a bit shit so would be a good option). I can see where Real Madrid were coming from, a dominating physical presence can make a big difference in that league. Overweight or not the lad's huge. They had that really tall Polish striker, whose name escapes me, who had been quite successful for their B team. They were probably looking for somebody of that mold. EDIT: Hungarian, not Polish. Adam Szalai.
The College Dropout
Kroos, Modric & James is the Real Madrid way. Would've got to the CL final with that midfield imo.
Dinho lad
Chelsea are a cancer, it's a shit move for his career, but at least he's doing it properly. I'm not sure about it being a shit move for his career. He could start for them Same could be said for Schurrle and Cuadrado and Luiz Filipe and De Bruyne and Remy and Salah and Ba. They're a super rich club with no interest in progressing the careers of any player, no matter what age. You're in, you get a chance for ten minutes, and then you're out when Jose has decided he's bored with you. Glad you've finally seen the light. KaKa
Heung-Min Son to Spurs. Should be an interesting one. Quite like him. Yeah, seems a good player. Wonder if that's that with Berahino. Or whether this is more of a Lamela replacement.
Mole_Toonfan
From what i have seen of him when BT shows Bundesliga is he's very talented but he's one of those who looks great for 2 or 3 games but then goes missing for the next 8 or 9 He's clearly better than what they have outside of Kane in forward areas though. That sounds like Spurs as a whole, so he'll fit in nicely.

Stottie
22 million quid? Is that what the approximate going rate on Cisse would be now? He was second top goalscorer in the Bundesliga when we got him.

Freiburg are a lot smaller too, they're not seeing all that Champions League and aspirin money.

Village Idiot
Kroos, Modric & James is the Real Madrid way. Would've got to the CL final with that midfield imo. Best Real Madrid sides of the past decades had the likes of Redondo and Makelele anchoring the midfield. You'll fit in well with Florentino Pérez. Man Utd. got to several CL finals with odd looking CM's combinations.
Stottie
Thanks lads, I suppose most of our transfers have some kind of backstory to them that brings the fee down, it's almost Carr's remit, but I'd forgotten the one in Cisse's case.
