Altamullan
Who are Chelsea going to pursue given Costa is off? Wonder if there's a stench of urine drenched gussets in their online haunts? Supposedly after Morata. Steady on, surely they're supposedly thinking about considering looking into a potential enquiry. There's apparently a due process to follow here. Oh, no. That's just us. themanupstairs
Hate the idea of a wage cap. Only going to make the Owners richer. Yup. That's the main reason for not having a wage cap. Leave it as it is. Let the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, and let there be a massive gulf between clubs such that the football and competition deteriorate to the point where the sport is no longer recognisable. Let it be more about Pogs and Lukaks dabbing and less about an exciting competitive league.
Interpolic
I'd love to see figures for Sky subscriptions as I suspect they'll be decreasing, not least because of increased competition from the likes of Netflix and Prime for entertainment (especially younger audiences) and illegal streaming in homes and in pubs. I think we'll be at a point in the next few years where their model of throwing insane amounts of cash at football rights will be unsustainable at the current levels and the domestic TV deals will start to decrease for clubs, although maybe this will be offset somewhat by the foreign TV deals which seem to be increasing and becoming a bigger part of the overall picture. Mole_Toonfan
In this country sure, but what makes the TV deal so huge is the amount countries around the world paying ridiculous amounts and it's growing all the time. The Premier League will gamble on other countries increasing making up for ours maybe decreasing, they'll probably be right too. It can't see the bubble bursting any time soon. If they signed Mbappe or somebody Bale is likely to be most at risk.

Mole_Toonfan
Apparently the deal is a 10m loan with an option for 35m afterwards, that seems cheap?

Village Idiot
Apparently the deal is a 10m loan with an option for 35m afterwards, that seems cheap? Cheaper than Sigurdsson Marcla claims it's €60m total and the option is mandatory. Still, James was brilliant under Ancelotti, it's a steal in today's market. Mole_Toonfan
Oh right I got those numbers from Bild, Marca's report of 60m seems more realistic though.
