Foluwashola
He was absolutely shite in the derby. Having said that, Anita does basically the same job Colback does but without the same level of defensive input. Ideally we'd have better, but we don't. Wullie
This time last season the mackems were rock bottom of the division and had been all season. It seems to have affected them quite a lot losing Colback from their midfield.
SEMTEX
Games have passed Anita by, I can't deny that, but his upside is way way beyond that of Shithouse Jack. Anita needs to play, week-in, week-out, for a couple of months. But obviously that won't happen with old greasy cunt in the dugout.

Ā You play him in a three or not at all basically, but the answer that is to play him in a three rather than having Jack fucking Colback starting for us. He's a squad player at best. He has no redeeming qualities at all, he's just average at every single thing.
Wullie
Anita wants to play a possession game, that's what he's done all his career. Short passing in midfield, keep the ball moving. Ā Our manager and coaching staff are on record as saying they don't want us to have the ball. It doesn't take a great many brain cells to work out why he's persona non grata.Ā Colback's the complete opposite. You don't really want the ball when he's in the team. Because he's shit with it. He was really good when the mackems played Chelsea and Man City at the end of last season. He was good when we played Chelsea. He was usually good when they played Man City. The common theme is that he's utterly without merit if you have any intention whatsoever to actually play football, rather than spoil the game because your team is crap. Ā Which is why he's an ever present when available - a perfect Pardew player if there ever was one.Ā All bluster and zero skill to have to worry about.Ā
Guest firetotheworks
Have you ever seen a player run around like a tit after opposition players more than him? I can't think of anyone we've had that's been like that. Just zipping about trying to win it back, no real care for positioning, just go and try and get the ball like a dog after a tennis ball. TRon
Anita looks a lot quicker over 10 yds as well. They both have the problem that over bigger distances they just don't have the legs to play a box to box game, but this is where Abeid trumps them both. Kanj
You play Anita in games in which you need to break teams down and take the game to them.Ā You play Colback in games where you HAVE to sit back and counter (not that I condone this tactic)Ā You play Abied ALWAYS, and Sissoko ALWAYS. Ā One day I hope to develop a better understanding of the game. Howay man, they play a similar role but their 'defensive input' is hardly the major difference. I don't think Anita has shown himself to be outstanding or anything like, whether that's his fault or not, but I know for a fact who I would prefer on the ball out of the 2.Ā This is obviously all about Pardew at the end of the day and the division he creates though. Anita, Marveux, Ben Arfa. They're all wrong'uns in the eyes of Pardew and his merry gang of ashamed followers.

Wullie
De Jong will be the next one who's lazy, weak and shit. He was already getting that after one game where he clearly wasn't even fit.

Ā Pardew will be on another level of ridiculous if/when he inevitably falls out with Cabella and De Jong. 2 players who he classically quoted would change the way we play, be leaders, etc.

Kanj
Also the pure waste of money it was, given it was a transfer fee paid up-front, most likely, and that Ashley can just smile and see money eroding from many of these players "sell-on" value. DJ_NUFC
Staggering that our "marquee" summer signing is being displaced by Gouff and Sammy. Ā These are the kinds of things that should make an owner sit up and take notice. We spent quite a bit of money on him (in Ashley speak) and Pardew paraded him around as some sort of replacement for Cabaye AND HBA rolled into one. And then keeps starting fucking Gouffran and Sammy. Ridiculous. Cabella seems likeĀ he needs time and faith to make it in this league, the potential and skill is there to make it. If only we had an attacking, positive manager.
