Laughable things are still done by fax.

Might be for security? Easier to hack an email than tap a fax, I imagine.

My company only allows certain people to send anything by email and even then it needs to be encrypted.

How's there still plenty of work to be done if he has a release clause and we know the value?

Probably preparing a bid lower than his release clause so it can be rejected.

Got to get him to accept 50p and a a packet of Skips wages yet.

Guess is stuff isn't finalized with the player...

...or they want Tenerife to accept a transfer bid for the same value as the release clause instead of triggering the clause itself, thus avoiding the Spanish VAT tax :D

"..with re-sale value" pure utter small time shit.

Don't see what's wrong with wanting any signing to have some potential resale value.

Apparently his current wage is £490 a week.

A 3 year contract and they don't think he'll be ready from the off? Setting themselves up to be stung if he turns out to be any good.

If he has anything resembling a good game he'll get the Dummett 6 year special.

So we've gone in with a wallet full of tenners and gone 'discount for cash, mate?'.  We're so classy.
