Guest neesy111
What's the point of that fugly castle thing tagged on to the stadium? Surely an architectural statement (barnacle?) that detracts, can't even imagine it looking better when finished.

I was watching the lasses tour de France yesterday and it kicked off at the stade velodrome, a stadium I always planned on visiting. Absolutely hate what they've done to it. Guest chopey
I love the idea of living somewhere that you can see into a stadium Taunton cricket ground looks amazing with apartments actually in the stands. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-60927904.html#

ponsaelius
The Velodrome was absolutely falling apart and being uncovered is dreadful for supporters and acoustics. Not sure what else they could have done; at least they didn't knock it down and build from scratch.
ponsaelius
And it doesn't even look bad from inside. Spectacular stadium.

Ronaldo
It was absolutely falling apart at the seams when I went in 2004 to the point looking back I'm surprised it was UEFA approved or whatever. But wow, it looked so fucking good. Set against the sunset it's one of my favourite first hand images as a football fan.

Disco
Going to Valencia on Thursday to do the Mastella forever tour has anyone ever been ? Haven't done the tour but went to a game at the Mestalla last season, make sure to stick your head at El Bombo de Manolo's bar on the corner next to the main stand.
