annoying thing is we've not been much better than this recently but the media love in with "turned it around" Pardew has been borderline hysterical and they just havent seen it. We haven't been oustanding or even great really.

Today is typical of what Pardew will serve up, unfortunately we are stuck with him long term.

What an absolute load of s****.

Funny/depressing thing is we played barely any different to our previous 6 games today, but the media/non Newcastle fans won't see that.

Not sure I really agree with that. We've been better recently precisely because Pardew was forced to play some of the younger, more enthusiastic attacking players due to injuries. Players who took the game to the opposition. He also had to play Sissoko in his best position in central midfield.

The minute he gets some of favourite cloggers back he puts them in the team and moves Sissoko out of position and also drops Cabella. Surprise, surprise we are back to looking shite and losing again.

Pardew has done what every crap manager does, as soon as there's an actual decision to make he makes the wrong one.  Before this the team has almost picked itself, but as soon as he's been able to get Tiote, Colback and Gouffran into a midfield he went for it like man dying of thirst goes for a drink of water.  He's so predictably crap it's untrue.

Didn't even bother following this game and that was the best decision of the day. Checked the score at half time and full time and missed the painful football in between. Rinse and repeat for the rest of the season.

well that was fucking awful. The guy sends out a lineup like we're away to Chelsea or something.. And we're the ones on a five game win streak!!!

This is my main problem with him. We go on a run and his ego thinks he can make changes at will and we'll come up trumps. If you're so limited then just go with what is working at the time.

He's no Manager man.

Gouffran is literally the perfect Pardew player, or at least, has been 100% Pardewed since coming here. Offers absolutely nothing of note going forward, doesn't take any risks, runs around a lot protecting the full-back and keeps the team's defensive shape solid-ish which is Pardew's number one priority: keep it tight and try to nick one at the other end with a bit of 'magic'. That's literally his entire outlook on football.

What team will he pick against Burnley?  I'm actually struggling to think of more than 11 players that are fit and involved realistically in the first team.  The team will pick itself, but this time it'll be truly awful.

Elliot, Haidara, Williamson, Dummet, Taylor, Anita, Gouffran, Cabella, Ameobi, Perez, Cisse

Anyone else realistically available to play?  Because that is truly awful of what's left after today.  We go into such a winnable game against Burnley and yet we have a team that's probably full of more poor Championship standard players than them.  It's absolutely grim.
