Newcastle United v Chelsea - Saturday 6th December @ 12:45pm (live on BT Sport)

Can't see anything but a Pardew defensive master class followed by a cricket score. Chelsea may not have beat us at home in a while and it might be Mourinho's worst ground but they're going to beast us on the way to the title.

We'll probably play quite well without really threatening. Lose 0-2

Exactly my thoughts. We'll not play particularly badly but they'll never look in danger. We'll probably have one controversial decision/golden chance go against us at 0-1 when we're having a decent spell before getting picked off.

Courtois will barely have to break sweat and people will be proclaiming we're the second coming of Madrid in the 50s.

Wouldn't be surprised if we beat these, for some reason we have done well against them in recent years. Still think we will lose though, Costa will tear us a new one.

I caught myself thinking this today and then I thought about the Sunderland fans saying the same thing about their recent victories over Man City.  We've played okay against Chelsea at home in recent times, but we've also been quite lucky.  Sooner or later, they'll show up, play to top form and we won't get the luck.  I can see the result of that being us taking an absolute pasting.  If we play like we did against Burnley and Chelsea play to form, we'll lose heavily, just like Sunderland did yesterday.

I'd play

Jelliot

Janmaat

Dummett

Colo

Haidara

Colback

Abeid

Sissoko

Cabella

Aarons (if he's back)

Perez

That's our best side available at the moment IMO. Saylor will start if Colo isn't fit.

The King will fit Gouffran, Tiote and Cisse in there though.

100% agree with this. If Gouffran can't threaten a poor Burnley side he  has no chance against Chelski. We really need Aarons but he's still not quite fit apparently.

Hard fought loss that'll be spun into a moral victory because we didn't lose by 6. "We only lost by 3, didn't we do well?? Eh? Eh?"

This basically, they will stop playing at HT when 2-0 up and we will have our only two shots late on = good effort

Bit mad/sad what Gouffran has become since that match v Chelsea on his home debut.

I don't think Gouffran is a terrible player far from it. But he is ineffective on the wing especially if we have three in midfield. Its no coincidence our form has come to a grinding halt since Pardew decided to play him instead of Cabella.

Given the level Chelsea are playing we could get a good pasting even if we play well.

Janmatt Saylor Colo Dummett Haidara

      Tiote  Sissoko  Colback

                Riviere

                Perez
