Nobody
Remi Garde in talks with Newcastle GFFN can confirm that Newcastle have initiated discussions with Remi Garde for the vacant managerial position at the club. Garde is believed to have been contacted last week and discussions have already been ongoing for the last two days. Remi Garde is interested in the possibility of taking up the job, but there remains a chance, out of his control, that Newcastle decide to go with another candidate. These reports are now supported by L’Équipe and Le Parisien. http://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2015/remi-garde-in-talks-with-newcastle/

Dinho lad
Would be considering it would be an Ashley appointment.
oldtype
All I know about him is that he's not Carver. Good enough for me.
mrmojorisin75
He ticks a shitload of not Pardew boxes like, I'd be rather happy if we ended up with this lad as I think he'll get a lot from Cabella for a start and generally speaking would most likely have a good relationship with Carr and be able to play the players we sign in the right places. AlanSkÃrare
Selling the pile of shit to Palace to bring this guy in would be one of the best moves we've made under Ashley, if not the best.
Nobody
Selling the pile of shit to Palace to bring this guy in would be one of the best moves we've made under Ashley, if not the best. After getting Carr in (which would also be the reason for this guy coming), it would be the best IMO. Still a long way to go mind, but it being in both le parisien and l'equipe is a decent start. Aye, wonder where the fuck we'd be without Carr. Anyway, this guy seems to be the balls. http://i.imgur.com/0VsNm1R.jpg

Jack
Good manager, used to play good football at Lyon, he's played in 4-4-2, 4-4-2 diamond, 4-3-3, 3-5-2. May be he could bring some good yound players from Lyon.
Mr Logic
Considering he cited family reasons for leaving his previous post the far reaches of another country doesn't seem the ideal position to test his new family bonds.

NUFC_Chris
Hopeful, but wary of this. Can't understand why Sherwood would now come in at evens.
mattypnufc
Little article on him from back in 2011: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/european/the-next-arsenal-manager-garde-giving-impressive-audition-at-lyons-2342617.html Sounds very promising. Too good to be true to be honest. Wont happen.
gazza ladra
Would be delighted with him. Keegan aside, it's been a pretty uninspiring decade. Souness. Roeder. Allardyce. Kinnear. Shearer. Hughton. Pardew. God, that's really awful.

ads
Hoping this comes off, seems like he'd be an excellent appointment. But this thread will be RTG famous when Carver gets the job.
TaylorJ_01
I'm worried we'll see a backlash from the Pardew brigade once they all get dropped and a dressing room split. Smelliot and Bantz the main offenders.

Scottish Mag
Good manager, used to play good football at Lyon, he's played in 4-4-2, 4-4-2 diamond, 4-3-3, 3-5-2. May be he could bring some good yound players from Lyon. Grenier and Benzia out of contract in 2016. Garde brought them both through the youth system at Lyon and in to the first team. If he comes in I wouldn't be surprised to see us showing interest in both of them.
