Definitely my recollection of the chat at the time too as it did look shit without at least a number

yeah don’t think it got a great reaction especially as it was following on from the 95 shirt

Itchy collar. Shield on the back meaning you kind of needed a name and number or it looked odd. I had it. But was never a big fan. 
 

I liked the away kit that got panned that year. Was that the one we never won in? Blue, green and orange.

The away goalkeeper top was my favourite GK shirt we've had too.

Yeah never won in the away, I think it looks better when seen now, probably helped as not paired with green shorts.

annoyingly on the juve shirts now the copa patch doesn't seem to come with it, as I was after the third.

I got the full 97-99 kit for Christmas. Shorts were shiny and like a two-tone stripe iirc. It was an epic kit tbf, not among the very best, but still special.

Remake that kit, place the 3 stripes on the shoulder if need be for current branding guidelines; give me stripes on back with red #'s for the PL; then block white or black for Europe. plain black shorts, plain black socks with white alts for both. 

 

Id legitimately acquire the full kit.
