The assignment was watching 6 World Cup games and to count how many times the crowd shouts OLE. I don’t want the extra hrs but it probably would have been the best job I’ve had. But whilst I hope the best team wins, there are no injuries (pitch states have been commented on), I hope that from a financial point of view it's a fucking disaster. However, I can fully back their view with this WC - now more than ever with my general ennui with international stuff: Trump, FIFA, ticket prices, travel costs, Infantino etc. If this is supposedly the pinnacle of the beautiful game then I really don't like football either. A very easy pass to watch zero games of what is already an international bore fest. Fuck the fuck off FIFA. I'll be sleeping/reading/eating depending on the kick off times. Canada at 8, then the USA game is obviously on the next day’s page, only it shows up at the bottom because it’s Group D, not Group B or Group C. My own fault for not understanding it before my brain kicked in, but still mildly annoying. We did the family draw before kick-off. Twelve teams each FFS, from four pots decided by FIFA ranking. Could have done without Portugal, Belgium, Morocco from Pot 1, not least because I always root against Portugal for being whiny bellends every time.
