Think you guys really have some great wing back options, and so it really opens up the pitch for the attacking midfielders playing off the front man. Still a bit concerned about the central midfielders abilities to distribute the ball around consistently. Really think Shelvey and Wilshere should have gone with Henderson and Dier. It's really unfortunate because I really like what Southgate has done with the rest of the team, and with sticking with this formation. He's just overlooked including a central midfielder to get the ball off the centre-backs and set the wing backs and attacking players on their way. No issues with Delph & Henderson when you have two ball playing centre-backs and Jones who likes to bring it out of defence as well. There'll be times where you need one if not both of those to sit and protect. Happiest I've been with our squad since about 2004. If nothing else, Southgate has a clear plan in mind with how he wants us to play and since he's took over we've implemented it pretty well imo. Just think it could be even more dynamic going forward. I think against more robust and better defending teams the lack of build up from the back will show up more.
