McCormick
Ah really? Fair. Think I’d almost have Trippier on the left over Chilwell though.
gbandit
I really rate Chilwell. He’s not the most exciting player but he’s extremely reliable (when fit) both defensively and further up the pitch
Guest
Aye, he'd transform Newcastle pretty much. Very good player. Almost like a left-sided version of Trippier with his set-pieces too. Edited March 4 by Optimistic Nut
Magpie
Aye, I think Shaw's got very little chance of making the tournament.
McCormick
Big fan of Chilwell but you can’t rely on him fitness-wise.
McCormick
All right- slow work day - what do you lot reckon Gareth (lager, sometimes cider) will go for then?

gbandit
The two glaring issues there are Maguire and Phillips. I’d also want Foden having a free role. Think it’s fairly nailed on that Maguire will start given he’s playing for Man U these days. Phillips, it’s not nailed on that Southgate will start him but if he doesn’t, I think it’s likely he’ll go Henderson
McCormick
I reckon he’s starting Hendo , unfortunately. Also think Rashford only has to score 3 goals from now until the end of the season to undeservedly get on the plane.

Goal aside yesterday, he was absolutely dreadful.

54
Pickford Walker Maguire Stones Trippier Bellingham Rice Saka Foden Watkins Kane Would go with that if we're looking to take the game to teams, swap out Watkins for someone like Gallagher who has legs as a box to box midfielder. Please not Phillips.
joeyt
Would be tempted to put Trent in centre mid
Kid Icarus
Doesn't Bellingham play further forward now?

The College Dropout
Would have Kane Foden Bellingham Saka As the front 4. Not sure who to play alongside Rice. Maybe TAA. I'd like to see us play 4-3-3 but we don't have the second 8. I think Rice - Foden - Bellingham might be too defensively open in a 433. Might work better in a 4-2-3-1 but I don't want Bellingham playing in a deeper 2.

Shearergol
Having Bellingham and Foden is both a massive headache and a massive positive. Both should be playing in that 10 role.
janpawel
For me Kane, Bellingham, Foden and Saka are absolutely elite and need to play, but not sure on the best formation to fit them, like previously said, Foden and Bellingham have been playing as AMs Honestly think Gorden could do a job at LW, Foden is obviously better but Gorden provides an outlet and eats space up on the counter or in transition, whereas the 4 previously mentioned have different strengths

Appreciate Foden preferred the middle but he can do LW well. madness to shift Bellingham back given his year so far. I fully expect Southgate to fuck it up though.
