I think I hate it when teams go 4/5 up in the first half, 99% of the time the second is fucking awful

I get they don’t want to run through brick walls, but I don’t get why we’ve just stopped playing football.  Not passing fluidly and just aimlessly running down dead ends.

I would’ve just made the subs at half time and down the fringe/new players to make an impression, keep up the tempo and have a riot.

Matterface also said it was Harry Kane's first England hat-trick since 2019 but he said it as two thousand and nineteen, rather than twenty nineteen. Always the hallmark of a wrong 'un and someone eligible for an on the spot laptop check.

His impregnation of Natalie Sawyer will forever remain one of life's great mysteries/achievements.

I thought the midfield had a better balance without Rice, who never seems that confident in an England shirt.

I'd prefer Grealish or Saka to Sterling. He has his strengths of course, but we need more technical players if we're going to break down the better teams.

In the second half, Albania decided to get stuck in. I don't know what was going on in the first.

Our best player against Italy ( Rice )

and the player who scored most of our goals ( Sterling )

grealish- what has he done for England that Sterling hasn’t

( I’m not a Sterling fan myself aswell )

got any more shit opinions?

I'd pick Rice over Phillips every time. If you're looking for a reason England looked better balanced in midfield though, it was the fact that Mount wasn't there.

A lot of the selfless stuff Sterling does goes unnoticed too. No better example of that than the space we had first half as a result of his movement. I don't think you get that from Grealish or Saka.

Henderson's really won me over in the last couple of seasons, that was a corker.

Fair play to the SMB.

I used to think he was bang average, but he's been excellent and a good leader in recent years. Seems to be a far better player much later in his career.

They did!

Imagine the shit that kid must get at school : his dad's an absolute knacker, I can't imagine it's easy having a mum who all your mates fancy and to top it off, that name!

Poor cunt.

Phillips would be one of the first names on my team sheet. Easily the best specialised DM that we have. Henderson looked more confident and enterprising moving forward than Rice does in an England shirt, but ultimately that position will be Bellingham's. It's just a matter of time.

Grealish looks better when he starts rather than comes on as sub. When he comes on, he seems to feel the pressure to do something brilliant, partly through being egged on by the crowd's reaction maybe. He ends up not reading situations properly. I wouldn't say he's a nailed on starter, but that's the best way of using him, and his ability is obvious.

Next to Foden, the best all round talent that we have for those advanced positions is Greenwood. I hope whatever has led to him bowing out of the reckoning gets sorted soon.

Walker is a good defender, but I don't like seeing England players who look as terrified as he does when the ball comes to him. I'd like to see Ben White given another go in that back three.

We looked good in the first half last night, but Albania were so bad it was difficult to judge the performance properly. I want to see an England side with the all round technical ability to work their way through the best defences. That's what holds us back at the moment. Sterling has a great change of pace and direction, but needs space in which to operate and when we're up against a side of equal ability his technical limitations show. He has no left foot, his touch on the ball is dodgy and his passing is very limited. He will always be a threat in certain situations but we need to play with greater overall fluency and I don't think we can rely on him.

There you go. Plenty of opportunities for a swear word or a sarcastic smiley, I'm sure.
