joeyt
Maric was born in Croatia, not Serbia. all the same innit The Croats hate the Serbs so no its not the same..... I know, I was just hoping for some good old fashioned forum hatred to ensue between the Eastern Europeans on here following my post
KaKa
Been watching a video of his that got posted the other day " Aleksandar Mitrovic - The NEW Newcastle transfer |Skills & Goals||Anderlecht| 2014/2015" Shows a lot more of his general play than the "ScoutNation" video does, he's a lot better with the ball at his feet than i thought. My goodness that's an impressive video. Had only seen the one's with his finishing previously. What a beast of a 20 year old. His strength, hold up and link up play in that is ridiculous. Geez. Not sure how we've managed to get this guy.

KaKa
Calm down. I know. I know. He looks fantastic in that video though. Had no idea his general play was so good. I see a bit of Zlatan in his game. Getting in soem good players at last. absolutely chuffed.
Jayson
I meant that if he only scores 8 goals or something, he shouldn't be considered a massive flop. Part of what we are paying for here is potential. This is my concern with it though, we need a striker who can do the business straight away. Potential is great if it stays with you, for that to happen the status of our club needs to go up again in the here and now. Know nothing about this lad, if he's better than Austin at 20 fair play. I think we need someone who comes in firing though. Otherwise the potential we're paying for will just result in a higher transfer fee if he does start stepping up. ponsaelius
What Fenham surely meant to say is that Maric and Mitrovic were both born in Yugoslavia. It was the same country when they were born. Mitrovic was born in 1994. Serbia and Croatia were awarded in 1991. Ah right, Wikipedia caught me out, someone best change it before it starts another war. Nah, Wikipedia is right. FR Yugoslavia was the successor state that followed SFR Yugoslavia. Was renamed Serbia and Montenegro in 2003.

So, Mitrovic was born in Serbia and Maric in Yugoslavia.

Maric was born in SFR Yugoslavia (Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia). I know they weren't born in the same country, but what I'm saying is Wikipedia is correct (where Fenham Mag got confused).
