relámpago blanco
It's pretty much just a brand now the PL and the shinning lights of it are protected. I see it game after game. Now that the FFP is defunct the league will go further down the toilet till there is only 2/3 clubs that can win anything. 100% this. It's turning into a procession. Just out of interest, and a genuine question as I don't know, but how many clubs have won the PL and cups over the years? Were there a lot of different clubs winning stuff like 10 or 20 years ago? No Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Blackburn and Man City are the only teams to have won the Premier League/Premiership (since 1992) and Blackburn was very much a one off We should have been on that list still cant't believe ee threw it away. Dan Gleebals
In a way guess the break has come at a good time. He can forget about this, serve his ban over the next 3 games after the break and hopefully by then the media reaction to all of this will have calmed down and he can start again. No doubt though that the club really need to manage him well over the next 10 or so games he plays so he is getting the right press, he can kick on then. WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Nah, man. He's not annoyed, he's FUMING http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/603239/Newcastle-Steve-McLaren-Aleksandar-Mitrovic-47th-yellow-card No quotes or indication from the reporter about how he found this out. Utterly pathetic.

This. Why would he be more annoyed over a yellow card for Serbia than for Newcastle? The Express/Chronicle are to blame for reporting this. Apparently McClaren was "fuming" due to the yellow card. It doesn't outline the reason for his booking though, does anyone know why he was booked? Probably something daft like recurrent fouls

Dokko
20 years old and 47 cards? WTF? That cannot be possible, if so we really shouldn't have gone anywhere near him.

It is over the course of 130 games, so a yellow card every other game/other two games - which is no different to someone like Matic.

He's been playing since 16-17 so it's maybe a yellow every other game on average. We need to calm him down, he'll be right.

How many goals did he get in that time? 70odd goals... and well playing as a lone striker (which he has a lot) will mean you'll pick up loads of cards. Battling against two centre backs, backing in etc. He does need to calm down, but he's hardly the villain of the year.

In shite leagues, but that's not the point, the point is he's almost as likely to get booked as he is to score and since refs in this country have him marked and the quality of the league is higher, then that ratio will catch up at some point. Its ridiculous.
Figures 1-0 Football
That's settled then. Because he might get a yellow card every other game - regardless of how many he may score, we need to sack him off. Sell him to Bristol Rovers for 20p because he's trouble.
