Casey
Got a lot of love for Lascelles. Shame about his earlier injury as he was in the mixer amongst our defense and really doing quite well at times. Good luck in Leicester bud.
RodneyCisse
Feels like he could be in a better championship side but I’d guess wages have come into play on this too.

Kid Icarus
I spent most of his time here not rating him, but he definitely seemed to improve with age and would always put in a good shift when called upon by Howe. PSG at home was obviously his finest hour and I imagine he'll remember him and Schär absolutely bossing Mbappe and Dembele forever. cubaricho
Weirdly bummed about this?
Cristov
Apparently currently the second longest serving player in PL behind Tom Heaton.
cubaricho
Remember that PSG at home match? Like dang. Showed up and fucking performed. After so long out. He’ll be a legend for that for always.

I don't think you are, amazing recall. Not being able to remember who that was against has very mildly annoyed me for ages.
Displayname
Doesn't he have to be fit to grt through a medical?
Big Geordie
Good luck, Jamal and thanks for your service to the club. A good leader, during the dark days of the Ashley years.

I think it’s fairly obvious he is fit (although match fit may be another question), but everybody quietly agreed that if he was leaving, it probably wasn’t worth him coming back and playing a few minutes here and there. Yorkie
We've been absolutely spoiled by likeable centre-backs during the majority of his time here; were in not for Schär and Burn he'd probably be my favourite of all. While not being an amazing player, he's had far, far more good games than bad in a Newcastle shirt, and for a decade now he's clearly been a great leader on and off the pitch. I've got really fond memories of him as a brick wall in the Championship and a dependable player when we came back to the PL under Rafa. His form when he returned to the side in 2023/24 was crazy; it wasn't just the PSG game - where he was immense - he was fantastic in general during that spell. Seems that ACL has been really cruel to him and I'd love to see him get back to playing regularly at Leicester. Feels like a good move for him. Smal
I’ll be a bit confused if he goes there and is immediately available to play, like.

Fak
5 minutes ago, andycap said: Makes you wonder why he hasn't had any minutes for us if he's fit. Wow, how ignorant. You clearly can't remember the 6 minutes he came on for in our goalless draw away to Bournemouth this season.

andycap
Just if he's been available and with us losing schar he surely would've been an option when botman was playing 90 after 90 repeatedly.
SteV
3 minutes ago, andycap said: Should've had a testimonial before he left us. For what benefit? He won’t need the money. When do you fit in a ‘match’, other than pre-season? There’s obviously a case for doing something where the proceeds go to charity, see Shearer, but he was obviously a special case, given his gravitas, and the fact he already had a foundation set up. I also get it in that he deserves some form of formal thank you, or show of appreciation, for his years of service, but I think the world of football has moved on from testimonials.
