Village Idiot
Spanish court denies Elche's appeal and upholds their relegation from La Liga due to failure to comply with La Liga's FFP rules (they have outstanding debt with the taxman and players). It could've been a right mess had the court reinstated them.

Village Idiot
I can't find this purported interview anywhere on As. These quotes are so incendiary that they would be everywhere on our media, and I really can't find anything. EDIT: Found it now. Strange that it's not been picked up. Magpie
How likely is it that I'll be able to get between 4 - 6 tickets for El Clasico at the Nou Camp next April? Are they like hen's teeth? Mate's 40th that weekend so looking to try and get something arranged.

Village Idiot
Very few tickets reach the general public. 90% of the stadium is STs, the club keeps a few thousand to distribute among partners and club members have prio for the balance. So touts end up being the only alternative, and the prices are outrageous.
The College Dropout
I've gotten a couple deals similar to: http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/ga-independent-world-choice-holidays-87 They are usually available in August. Normally just Real & Barca home matches. They must have a deal with Groupon and the hotels.
Scotty66
Any recommendations on the best places to stay in Madrid next May V.I? e.g good hotel/bed and breakfast with some good bars etc close by. Going for my stag do so be prepared for plenty of questions within the next year
Village Idiot
I haven't lived in Madrid since 2006, I don't think I can make any meaningful recommendation. Just be careful with cheap places - Madrid has a lot of cheap hostels that can be really really icky when you get there, despite of the photos they'll show you. Scotty66
Yeah I'm hoping to opt for one of the mainstream hotels. Will be more expensive but like you say, shouldn't be no hidden nasties.

Village Idiot
La Liga ST price ranges for this season. Cyan clubs are from the second division: http://i.imgur.com/FC96Hldl.jpg Zaragoza charging like a Top 6 club while in the second division. The gall of it. mattypnufc
Guessing these are the top tier ticket prices?
Village Idiot
The bars are the range of ST prices for each club. So our cheapest season ticket is €200 and our most expensive is around €1100.

I thought it had gone to BT and SKY had pulled out I can only assume La Liga went running back to Sky and accepted their first round bid which was higher than BT (according to the reports)

Village Idiot
I'll never get in the way of people being happy for something, but it's a tin cup... Pretty small time, in particular for a club with Athletic's history and trophy haul.
