The College Dropout
Pap for the second. So weak again. Barely protested. He, Lejeune & Clark all seem like laid back characters.
Guest Howaythetoon
One of our better players today, although he should have stood stronger for their goal. It was a push mind.
The College Dropout
For me.... defenders should be judged moreso on mistakes than anything else. At least at relegation battle level. You can't give away weak goals like that. Do the basics right lad. Win your f***ing headers. It was too easy. A slight push isn't good enough. At least make a big deal about it if it is a foul. He fell in installments.

Guest Howaythetoon
I rate him, he’s quick, athletic and a good footballer. He won quite a bit in the air today and won lots of important interfeptions too. But he had to be stronger for their goal, much stronger, it’s shit defending no doubt about it even if he did get a shove.
U2
How old do we reckon he really is then? Early 30s?
The College Dropout
I've never got the impression that he thinks like a defender. Someone determined to not concede. Might be worth a try in midfield. I don't know. A skilled and capable footballer but a poor defender.
Hanshithispantz
The age he is on his birth certificate. You know after he had his actual bones tested I get it with the likes of Doumbia but Mbemba doesn't even look old. He has a good hairline, his face is youthful. There's basically nothing about him that makes him look older than 23.

Hanshithispantz
He looks old for me. How? There's nothing much about him that makes him look like he's in his 30s. He looks like a 20 odd year old. He just has a weird shaped heed.

Dave
So how come him playing LB the last two games instead of Manquillo hasn't changed everything? I was lead to believe it would change everything.

captainhaircut
So how come him playing LB the last two games instead of Manquillo hasn't changed everything? I was lead to believe it would change everything. I see what you're trying to do but he played left back on Tuesday (the only game we haven't lost in last 6) and didn't play left back today. TRon
He should have been stronger for the second goal, but he was pushed so not totally to blame. Other than that, he was probably our most commanding defender over the 90 mins.
Hanshithispantz
He was canny bad against West Brom, Phillips had the better of him all night. Most people were wrong about him being our best LB if that game is anything to go by, however Bentiez clearly agreed that Manquillo at LB wasn't working so I'm struggling to see what you're getting at by mocking people who wanted Benitez to do what Benitez ended up agreeing with. Without Lascelles we're shipping about 5 goals a game so everything is probably in vein, but Manquillo and Joselu have legitimately been utter shit and I find it canny hard to argue that anyone was wrong for wanting them out of the side (or away from LB in Manquillo's case). Dave
Just winds me up when people over simplify our bad results by boiling them down to one or two unfavoured players being selected, as though all Rafa has to do is pick someone else and it'll all work itself out. He's trying all sorts to get different results.
Guest neesy111
Manquillo as absolutely shite though. Dummett is easily our best left back.
TRon
Manquillo as absolutely shite though. Dummett is easily our best left back. Manquillo is shite, but Dummett's injured, and Yedlin was giving away more goals than Manquillo. What other options are there?
