Mole_Toonfan
The club is a joke but lets not act like the club is the reason Gouffran might play. That's all on McClaren, there is plenty of other choices he could make but he's choosing to play Gouffran. It's like having a go at the club for McClaren picking Obertan when Perez was sitting there on the bench.
Ronaldo
Well that theory pisses all over itself when you consider that McClaren didn't appoint himself. Nor did Lee Charnley.
Mole_Toonfan
Aye because the club just loved it when they saw one of the biggest opportunities for profit was riding the bench for the first 3 games Pretty sure they loved it when they saw their 12m " investment " was sitting on the bench last week as well. Dunno why i bother, this is completely on McClaren and because they hired him is completely irrelevant.
Ronaldo
Yes, it's all irrelevant. When you promote a bootlicker to the position of MD and hire a mediocre (at best) manager to run a club it's all irrelevant when things don't quite work out too well. nufc4eva
Surely it has to be Sissoko moved to centre with someone else out wide. Maybe that's the plan to put Gouffran on left with Wijnaldum in centre
STM
Apparently he's been playing in centre mid in training.
xLiaaamx
Why he's going back to a 4231 anyway. It just invites them onto us. This is what happens when constantly hire people without any balls man.
STM
Who's said he's changing formation. It's Colback for Gouffran apparently.
Gallowgate Toon
We played 4-2-3-1 against Chelsea, man Just because the Chronicle keep on saying it was 4-4-2, it clearly wasn't. Ayoze was behind Mitrovic and we had 2 attacking mids in wide spots.
Ikon
Excited about seeing more of Ayoze and Mitrovic. That partnership has a lot of potential! Lovely characters as well!

Gallowgate Toon
Ayoze dropped into the hole plenty and joined the midfield when we were defending. McClaren even said after the game it wasn't 4-4-2. Called it 4-4-1-1, to be fair.

Figures 1-0 Football
Perez was behind Mitrovic imo, both linked up very well though. A "big man, little man" combo where both players have skill.
Gallowgate Toon
Perez just played the role Wijnaldum largely has, he just did it a lot better.
