Tsunami
From the man who was allowed to spend just under 20 million 10 years ago on 9 new players (including several frees & 6M on Alan Smith) and also claims we were in for Modric, Baines and Jagielka. And still made us into an absolutely awful side, mind you with Smith, Geremi, Cacapa and Faye being just 4 of those acquisitions there's no surprise. Guest
Didn't Ashley also say he wrongly sacked Allardyce? We're so getting him back as next manager aren't we.

KaKa
Did this poor guy have any time off this summer at all?! Man ... all for nothing. Guy needs to take it easy and let himself heal up properly.
KaKa
I think it's also pretty evident that Allardyce is looking to get his fat behind back into football again too. He's seen that apology from Ashley and is definitely looking to angle his way into the Newcastle gig by sucking up to him. Anything to get back onto the gravy train. Such a lack of integrity in that hippo.
Guest
Well last time we appointed Allardyce we got taken over within a month so every cloud.

Paully
Who spoke? Simon Bird and Luke Edwards did the first part followed by George Caulkin, Martin Hardy and Craig Hope in the 2nd and then Mark Douglas. All came across really well especially Caulkin ("Ashley is poison" ) and Hardy. It’s going to be on the tf podcast so you can hear for yourself but it’s ridiculous how much Ashley and his cronies have failed to back Rafa. A major point was that he didn’t want huge money either as he thinks that the market is crazy – he didn’t go on holiday and missed his wedding anniversary to set up deals which the club (Justin Barnes by the sounds of it) didn’t follow through. Six weeks for the Lejeune deal to go through when a clause was activated! They all said that Rafa knows how to play the game but he’s not here to constantly pick battles, he’s only doing this as he cares about the club and wants us to be the best that we potentially can be. Sadly, it sounds like he’s away in the summer under the current regime.

Sadly, it sounds like he’s away in the summer under the current regime. The writing was on the wall all summer really, the Ashley propaganda video was the confirmation for me. Rafa no longer sees any long term future here, he's virtually said as much when he said it had stopped being a project. I'm just going to enjoy this season as it will be the last one we'll be seeing under a world class manager for a long time.
