It's like some people have memory retention problems and think we're good. It might take a couple of games to get up to speed, but we will do. We were missing Wijnaldum, Sissoko, Tiote, Mitrovic and Townsend from the side which finished last season with a 5-1 win over Spurs. That's no excuse for the pathetic performance on Friday, but we don't have McClaren in charge now. If players don't perform they'll be replaced. He only came back for pre season training on Monday and needed to be assessed etc so hadn't trained properly with the rest of the players before the game. He should be considered this weekend though, and as much as I think his control and final ball are rubbish his pace and power will frighten and stretch teams in this league if he bothers his arse. Mind you though, that pace and power works best when we sit deep and hit teams on the break which I don't think will happen in this league, other teams will sit deep and expect us to break them down which we aren't very good at.
