Mandzukic goal has made me try to think of ridiculously good goals in losing efforts.

Sure Hatem scored a class goal when we lost to Fulham at Craven Cottage

Benteke overhead kick for Liverpool at Old Trafford came to mind.

Scored a couple, 1 in the 5-2 and another in 2-1 loss the next season.

Guthrie's in the 5-2 was a cracker.

Cuadrado absolutely did stand on Ramos btw. It's clear on the replays.  No one can deny Ramos made a meal of it but the contact is there. Deliberate or not is another matter, he makes a weird hop movement to be able to make the contact though, it looks like

Makes no difference whatsoever.

Course it does.  Unless a deliberate stamp on someones foot isnt a yellow card offence these days

That's not the issue though, is it? Ramos obviously wasn't injured and acted like a complete c*** when they were winning comfortably with minutes to go.

Yeah that's fair enough. I was referring to the many people saying there was no contact and he made it up out of nothing

Well he did  May have been contact but it was "nothing".

Both goals (Jenas, Ameobi) in that 6-2 defeat to Man United were cracking strikes from memory.

Was there a German who scored a belter versus Real Madrid and lost about 7-1?

German team, aye. Huntelaar for Schalke.

That's the one.

Nah. Poor back-pass leading to a fairly straightforward finish if memory serves.

Laurent Robert at Anfield when we lost 2-1 in 2004 is the best answer to this.

Think his one at Everton the season before is an even better one.

They scored in the same move when Gravesen clattered Bernard.  The moment our faint hope of the title disappeared.
