The College Dropout
Zidane is under-rated because a. he has a great team but b. he's not built-up as some type of master tactician or Maverick. Someone like Carlo Ancelotti is under-rated for that same reason. A manager with top pedigree as a player who is good at.... managing superstars and getting the best out of a team full of them. Part of what makes him a great manager is that he's Zinedine Zidane. The gravitas of him works in his favour and there's not much further to say. Zidane seems to let players do their thing but if there's something to critique his words will be heard. Someone like Benitez telling Kroos and Bale how to strike a ball? Doesn't work so well. The same again is true working upstairs. Zidane made Casemiro a key member of the team and that's that. Rafa couldn't negotiate it upstairs.

That tends to shut criticism up. From February they beat Bayern, Atletico & Juve in the CL final and won La Liga. Can't keep talking smack after that can I? Until Bale got injured.... up until the last quarter of the season I think - Real were unconvincing for me. Looked disjointed. Got the results but not the performances. But in the last quarter he managed the team and the fixtures tremendously. Rotation, tactics in big games etc. no complaints. Even when Real lost El Clasico, he did it in the Real way - kept attacking, made a substitution that worked.
ponsaelius
Bury are fielding a Hong Konger in their team. Just turned 18, signed after a trial over the summer. Don't believe there has ever been a Hong Konger play in England before.

afar
This mackem game is absolutely terrible. It's pretty much their full strength team by the looks of them. They are minus the world class Catts though.

afar
We saw the stadard in that division in pre-season, one of the best sides in league one last year Bradford hardly got a kick of the ball in our game. They'll make it out to be a great win at a tricky away game but really it's not. Builds up their confidence a little more though which is not a good thing. Funny how last year against us in the league cup (at a much more advanced stage), Grayson made 11 changes or something, and we beat them 6-0 of course, but for whatever reason this year with the Mackems he plays his full strength team (outside of Catts of course). What does that say about his faith in the squad he has ?
Figures 1-0 Football
Have Bury even had a decent chance? They've just pumped up endless long balls into empty spaces, absolutely shocking performance from them.
