Can't get enough air in your lungs so can't run as hard as you'd want. Also the ball flies way further. Goal kicks will go way deeper if connected well, less swerve on the ball too. It's just massively taxing to do owt. There's regularly been two schools of thought; arrive late so you're less effected or arrive mega early so you have time to acclimatise. I've not been to Quito but it'll be nowt compared to La Paz which is hard graft just knocking about with daily life as a non native. On the flip side you're pissed after a couple.
